You’ve read the book on how to climb the mountain.
I climbed it.
No, you haven’t really earned anything, but you should be too busy climbing right now to be bothering me.
(Pity that in this world paper can weigh more than life.)
This was from a teacher I studied privately under who was one of the worlds finest at what he did. He was telling me how it is, and I was quoting stuff I’d studied. He made it obvious to me that everything I knew was a farce. If I didn’t start actually doing, I’d never be anything, no matter how much I knew.
If I were to put a strength training bent on it, what he taught me was the equivelant of “Shut up and squat.”.

…I’m getting pretty fond of this quote.

Unless you’re an auctioneer there is no way to say all of that in three seconds. Good quote though.

DO alot of cardio
JK JK. Mine would really be:
Make SUre you feel your targeted muscles contract
Learn your macronutrient ratios
Make time for deadlifting
DOn’t do any of that full body crap
I still do reccomend cardio just not alot of it. Try and find good balance between cardio and weights; the rest is all diet.
Be consistent with all of your fitness goals
Eat oatmeal and meat. (Not together, well… it’s not reccomended)
Determine what works best for YOU and not others
this is not a knock, but what do you look like? That will determine if I heed your advice.

…Well “dude” I am 158 pounds 8% bodyfat and have been at it for just about a year. I WAS 168, but then I decided to enter my first “cutting phase”, because I wanted to decrease my BF. My 1RM lifts are not recorded but when I go to work out I give it all I’ve got and I have spent probably too much time learning all there is to know about the art. From a nutritional standpoint, I’ve taken classes to learn how big of an impact diet can play on performance. As for training, I have been blessed to work with trainers who have been involved in weight training for +30years. I may not be the biggest guy, (well I’m obviuosly not) but I’m the most determined. If you were to see me, you would know I lift too. I’d post in RMP, but honestly, I would hate to think that somebody I knew saw me. It would just be awkward. Everyone here knows what I’m talking about too. How weird would that be if some guy from work comes over to you and says “Hey Man, I saw you on RMP, NICEEEE!!!”
