You don't know how much progress you've made..

… until you see how your younger brother looks because he doesn’t lift or eat big. I’ve got four years and two inches on him (I’m 20 years old and he’s 16). He just started lifting and its quite pathetic. He’s a junior in high school and weighs a measly 140 lbs. I looked up how much I weighed at that time and I noticed I weighed 180 lbs. Two years before that I was 130 lbs. I now realize how far I’ve come and that I shouldn’t be so hard on myself. I remember first trying to break the 200 lb. barrier. Shockingly, I worked my way up to 235 lbs. (w/ the help of androgens) but now weigh a lean 200 lbs. I’m happy at what I’ve done in the last 4 years and I now plan to focus on strength and rid myself of the pride to look good. No more aesthetic training, bring on the strength!! A special thanks to Brock for his Fat Fast Diet, to John B. for his tips for coming off a fast, and to all the T-mag staff that has been involved in the creations of the fabulous supplements I’ve used like androsol, tribex, methoxy, surge, adv. protein, etc. Thanks again for your tremendous help!!

I know exactly what you’re talking about. I’m 20 and my little bro’s 17, doesn’t workout, and fucking eats ice cream like it’s going out of stlye. He’s starting to get a little belly, it makes me work even harder.

Sure, going from 130 to 200 in few years is rather amazing, but you have to keep something in mind. You probably would have gained some of that weight anyway (increase in height, increase in Test which results in more muscle). I don’t want to rain on your parade as I’m sure you have probably added 30-40 lbs. that you normally wouldn’t have.

How about this? I’m 21, my bro just turned 18, and not only is he bigger and functionally (away from the gym) than I am, but he doesn’t workout! The little bastard is 6’1 220 and isn’t all that fat either. I keep trying to get him into lifting, but he’s not too into it.

(I’m 180#…High School Sophmore, about 12% bodyfat) Your little brother has to be scronny as hell

George, I fail to see the reason that you respoded to my post. Your reply was merely a critique of my own personal observations of my progress of which you know nothing about (aside from this post). You were wrong about two things my friend. The first is that I was already 6’1 during my freshman year of high school, yet I only weighed a measly 130 lbs. Guess what bud? I’m still only 6’1!! Your second mistake was saying that I would gain more muscle because of an increase in testosterone. If you knew your shit you would have known that test levels don’t increase from ages 15-20. If mine did, it certainly wasn’t much. It is a myth that teenagers have higher testosterone levels. I believe it was Bill who said that they don’t start decreasing slowly until your early 30’s. Furthermore, I’ve had my test levels tested and they are low-normal. My belief is that I’ve probably put about 40-50 lbs. of muscle on since taking up weight lifting. It was more (50-60) when I was at 235 lbs. but that was with the help of some androgens and such. I should mention that now I sit at a bodyfat of about 7% so I’m actually leaner than I’ve ever been. I’m happy with how far I’ve come and I plan to continue my success. Good try reigning* (not raining) on my parade but your sorry critique only gives me more reason to hit the weights. Good day.
