yo magnus!

hey bro, me and my partner tried the 5x5 routine you suggested today, and loved it. did dips chins and push presses. let me tell you, that kid is strong!!!
first let me give you his stats. 6’1", 235lbs, 20 years old, fullback for butte college.
chins: held my own here, we both went with a 45lb plate for 5x5, but i could tell he had a bit more in him, i was maxed out though.
dips: he kicked my ass!!! me 50lb dumbell 5x5, he played with the 100lb dumbell. just to rub my face in it he did 6 reps on his last set.
push presses: he kicked my f—ing ass!!!we pyramided up this time, instead of same weight for 5x5. i went out at 275,(actually only the first one was a push press, the last four were more of a power-jerk!) he made it to 315!!!little bastard! i dont know whether to be motivated or depressed.
blah, blah, blah… bottom line: i like this routine! thanks magnus! we did not make it by that MMA gym, as he was having car trouble and i stuck around to help him out, but next time i may have a story bout my first MMA experience!
