I find that touching chest with bench seems to result only in better strength not in better hypertrophy.

If your working towards strength for powerlifting you’ll obviously have to learn to touch chest. Otherwise if it works, why fix it?

Perhaps that’s my personal leverage’s but just my 2 cents.

If your going for weight, you know if you bring you grip in some and pull your elbows in you can lift more?
I mean if your going for a max, might as well do it where you can lift a lot more.
