Would You, Quintus? Would I?

You seriously look like a buff Phillip J. Fry. You’re actually fucking Fry, aren’t you.

I have been watching too much Futurama as of late.

You’re a thick dude. From an aesthetic POV, working on tris and upper chest would do a lot. Then again, I doubt you care, because you got a solid ‘power’ look. gj dude

Agreed.

… Other than that, fucking awesome. I shall be slowly stalking you to 200, and your deadlift/bench. There shall be times of recomping, but I shall not drop weight until I squat 315X10, and deadlift 500.[/quote]

Wait, I am confused. Are you going to gain weight?

We have identical goals if you are planning on being 200 and having those lifts.

I did a few sets of average band pushdowns and some light DB tricep pumping stuff today. No real reason, just thought I’d get a little tricep pump you know…

You’re a hell of a lot stronger than I was at your age. Just keep up the good work; you are well on your way.

I am gaining weight, Trivium. I just gain weight at a slow constant pace.

Look what showed up in the mail today.

That’s awesome! Are you keeping it at your gym or going to use it at home? I think you’ll have to give it a badass Viking name, like Mjolnir lol.

Me and my training partner split it 50/50 so we’re just keeping it at the gym and letting our powerlifting buddies use it too.

Fucking good idea on the Viking name though…

Yggdrasil was the first thing to come to my mind.

Fun fact, Yggdrasil is recognized as a word in the T Nation forum spell check. You know what words aren’t recognized? powerlifting and deadlift

Haha that’s awesome. How do you pronounce that?

I’ve been coming up with some Viking goals over on my log, for after I’ve achieved my current goals. I’ll definitely be coming to you for stone lifting advice once this semester is out of the way and I have a little more time on my hands.

How much did that bad boy run you, if you don’t mind me asking?

Funny story, I’ve used a log once, I found out later it belonged to Mike Jenkins.

Four seventy or so including the shipping. (shipping was about 100 something of it).

So split two ways it was only about $235 for us. I’m sure it’ll be worth every penny.

And that’s awesome about Mike Jenkins dude. He’s like the coolest dude. Super approachable.

That’s not bad at all actually. Shipping sucks, but what can you do.

Ya Mike’s a pretty cool dude. Hopefully he can manage an injury free '14 WSM.

Squat:
135 5x
185 5x
225 5x
275 3x
315 3x
340 5x

Listen I know it’s supposed to be leg day, but I just ran through some squats as fast as I possibly could and then proceeded to play with the new log for like 2 hours.

Log Press:
135 5x Fuck I was out of breath just from that! Log pressing is way more exhausting than using a bar for some reason.
155 1x
185 1x
195 0x
135 2x Gonna start over with this from the beginning…
145 2x
155 2x
165 2x
175 1x
185 1x vid
195 1x WOO! I wish I’d taken a vid of this. It looked faster and better than my 185 did. Just getting more used to it did wonders.
205 0x Didn’t get the form good like the last rep. Called it here; I was getting pretty worn out.

I know I’ve got a lot of work to do on those, but that was my first time with the log at least. I need to get to where I can rep 225.

Log Bench:
135 5x
185 5x
225 5x
245 5x
255 5x

Log Incline Bench:
135 10x
155 10x
155 15x

Log Press: (again)
135 10x This felt like straight up cardio. Damn this thing is exhausting for some reason.

What a fun day. Work has been extremely stressful lately. It’s so nice to be able to come to the gym and set a PR (even if it’s a default one lol). It keeps me sane and confident in the face of adversity in other areas of life.
