Worst/least favorite exercises

You gotta rmember that I am toatally natural and have to deal with cutting wiehgt on a yearly basis. The muslce loss I see during the wrestling season is very saddening. I make gains and then I lose them. All part of the game.

My least favorite exercise would have to be squats. My favorite exercise would be deadlifts.

Full range Power Clean, DB Bench Press and One-arm DB Snatch.

favorite exercise= barbell rows
least favorite = front barbell squats(great exercise for my quads but after doing a set I feel like my soul just got sucked out me.)

Least fav gotta be squats. Hate’em but I do’em. Just loath that nausiating feeling.

I HATE leg extensions and leg curls…(so have replaced them with good mornings and hack squats - ok, I didn’t replace them, Whopper did when he made my new program, which is kicking my ass! Thanks big guy!)

I LOVE squats. They make me wanna vomit, but they’re worth it and I get SUCH a pump afterwards. (They also give me a big ego trip because I’ve only seen about two other women in my gym doing them!!! grin)

carmi you missed my point. If benching is a weakness why would you EVER waste your time doing cable crossovers? Stay away from fruity exercises that those and concentrate on basic compound movements like flat/incline/decline bench presses and dips. Even pushups would be better than cable work.

flat bench (which i seem to have some kind of mental fear on that basically stopped progress, and therefore i dropped it from workouts) and front squats. i like front squats, but i force myselft to do them the OL way and i can’t yet get beyond the choking myself feeling.

static hang from a towell…do it for fourty-five seconds, then watch as your fingers and hands turn red.

Steve, I think you’re right about including more compound movements in carmi’s program, but he may be doing the crossovers more because they’re a bit more specific to wrestling (ie. double/single leg takedowns, controlling the opponent’s body by wrapping the arms around the waist etc.)…maybe I’m way off base.
My favourites: one handed and/or one footed compound movements (eg. db row while standing on one foot and using opposite arm)
Least favourites: most bicep exercises (hardly ever do them), static lunges

I agree with whoever said that one arm dumbell rows are the worst exercise. I just don’t feel them, no matter what I do! My favorite exercise right now is front squats, since they hit my quads a lot better than regular squats. I also like dips and pull ups, I like not having to use the Gravitron for these things.

I really like watching Ladies do one arm dumbbell rows. Actually I like this exercise. I love squats…well not lately with my back.

Ummmmmm decline bench…has to be the worst. Yes I like the feeling of my head about to pop. Rotator work sucks. It’s so boring.

Dumbell rows - took forever to learn the form, but they burn like hell. Squats and deads because you actually get to move some weight around. Love/Hate relationship with pullups cause I suck at them.

When you do D/b rows do you bring d/b straight up to lats, if so try it bringing weight back to hip (give a try without the wieght and you can even feel a difference)for me least favorite gotta be lunges and chins (man I suck at chins)

I hate LUNGES!! DB One-arm ROWS, too! Squatting is nice and pullups are da best (tho, stil workin at it LOL) Dips are fine but I feel whoozy afterwards. Any alternatives for da 1-arm db rows? Peace!
