I make sure to eat frequently throughout the day. I love to eat and I get cravings for things but if it’s not an appropriate time to have that type of food then I suck it up and deal with the hunger. If I am feeling extremely hungry and lethargic for days then I reassess my nutrition and training plan.
There’s a lot of factors to consider here…
Are you doing this because you are bored? If you are full then what entices you to grab something more? A craving?
How much water do you drink everyday?
What is the timing of your carbs like? I find that having more carbs in my pre/intra/post workout window helps combat feeling hungry throughout the day.
Are you still stepping like a maniac all day? I would be super hungry as well if I was walking that much.
Are you on any medications/supplements that stimulate your appetite?
Is it just on lower body days? What time of day? Before training? After training? All day??
I’m not sure. It honestly feel like I don’t have control. It’s not a lot, but I find weird ways of justifying an extra slice of bread here, fruit there, another container of yoghurt. It ends up being 3-500kcal over
3-4L
I eat a slice of GF toast preworkout and a slice (or two) after the rest of the day is low carb
I’m down to 24k
no
after training, but I train early morning so functionally all day
What other types of carbs are you eating besides the bread? What do you eat on your toast?
May I suggest setting the bread aside for a while and try something else. Something like oats, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes etc…
Do some experimenting and see what works for you.
Post workout you could switch the bread out for an even faster digesting carbohydrate source like a banana!
Anything down is an improvement!
How long does this take you?
I know you’re not running but you are putting in a lot of miles on your feet, even more than people who are training for long distance running events.
Let me ask you this… do you aspire to have a body like a long distance runner?
You’re hilarious. I’m deficient in that department… I considered getting implants in the past but I’m not a fan of having something foreign in my body. I’m happy with how I am #teamnoboobs
You have an advantage with those DD’s… shorter ROM in your bench press. Embrace it
Lol, I’m surprised there’s no takers for this offer! @Dani_Shugart can you imagine the creepy messages if this was on IG? DM’s would be flying!!
Have any of the ladies here tried Surge Workout Fuel yet?
What do you think of it?
Have you considered ordering some?
I ordered both flavors and after a few weeks of trials I can officially agree with Thibaudeau, “I never want to train without Surge Workout Fuel”.
It really allows me to push through my workouts with a high level of energy and intensity. Plus, I really enjoy the tingle from the beta alanine.
As you know, I love Plazma but if I had to compare the two side by side I would pick Surge for the majority of my current activities and training sessions.
I am really enjoying it when I go out on my mountain bike. I went out for 2.5 hours yesterday and did some very challenging climbs and downhill riding and I didn’t feel any major energy drops during the ride. I had one scoop of Lemon Drop and one scoop of Berry (AMAZING combo… yummm!).
Perhaps I enjoy food too much because when I’m craving something sweet during the day I want to drink my Surge. Needless to say, I’ve been going in the gym earlier than usual because I want it Aside from my intra workout drink I don’t drink any fluids with calories so it tastes like a treat to me!
I’ve been hearing so many good things about it and had to try it for myself. I know there’s some very strong and athletic women in this thread so I’m interested in hearing your experience as well
Was feeling pretty good this morning until I put on my bikini top and poked my dreaded “side boob” bulge
I’m currently doing a mini cutting phase. I’ve lost 5lbs in 4 weeks… I hold most of my fat in my legs and glutes and my goal for the summer is to shred some fat and be able to see more definition.
What area of your body do you struggle with?! Where do you girls hold most of your extra weight?
I am usually a fan of doing balanced meals and having protein, carbs and fat in almost every meal but lately I’ve been struggling to get in enough protein (which is unusual for me) so I am trying something completely different with my meal timing for the summer…
They have a lot of sentimental value since they’re my natural nails, and given I’m quite simple with everything else I like to express myself through them.
As for lifting it’s actually not that bad in terms of adjustment. Since I have small hands they rarely close entirely around the barbell so there’s a decent amount of space to avoid pressure and such.
For deads I actually switched to hook grip since I didn’t wanna cut my nails lol. I have the most difficulty picking up coins I drop through. If it’s Pennies I just say screw it lol
