Who Is the Baddest Fighter?

DieselWeasle

He bends nails, can almost do a deadlift, and his dips are like nothing I’ve seen before.

The thing about the Krav Maga and the IDF, and Combat Sombo and the Russian Spez Natz (sp?), is that, yes, they are trained to do some serious damage. Same with SEALs and Rangers and whatever “system” they were trained in. There is a difference, however, between fighting for your life and the cage.

There have been some SEALs in MMA and they haven’t done so well. Put those same SEALs against the opponents they lost to in a jungle for a kill or be killed bout and my money would go with the SEAL, or anyother Special Forces guy. IMHO

Tyler

Ummmm Why wouldn’t the SEAL, ranger, special forces guy, or any other military person just shoot the bad guy with one of the multiple weapons they carry, stab them with one of the many knives, throw a grenade at them, or even have an airplane drop bombs on them? That hand to hand shit sucks.

And all of this talk about Mr Amir “trains to kill” is kind of un-realistic. That’s what every martal artist thought until the first UFC. Everyone thought they had the death touch, killer kicks, and chi power that would let them dominate the enemy without actual strength or fitness. I would need to see extraordinary proof.[/quote]

Exactly.

Awesome… I’ll second that one. Those chin-ups have me running away scared, no punches necessary!

I lkie Chuck too but I think he reallys on his strikeing too much. If he beats Jeremy Horn and then has to fight Tito again, I think it will be bad. Tito tried to go toe to toe with Chuck and don’t think he’ll make that mistake again. Tito will work him like he did Vitor.

tito left the ufc, hes fighting in pride now

I agree. That SOB could not only hand out a beating, but he could also take one…

I would expect Gohan or Goten to say that, but from Vegita…

Geek boy

Fedor Emeliananko.
Is this guy the terminator or what. Randleman has to be one of the most passionate fighters out there but the two great Pride heavyweights are just awesome. The monster must have been shocked, like Coleman, at Fedors Sambo skills. Mir is only good because he is the top submission fighter in a ground & pound wrestler/kickboxer based organisation. I cant get Rizzo-Arlovski out of my head but Andre is so much better now. A very good fighter.

Ask about Australias Stan the Man.

What works in the ring/cage works in the cage. Some hu flung dung dude cant work his game in the ring cos what works best there is already working. The only non legal tactics he would have to employ are gouges, spine/throat strikes or bites. All Sambo/special forces techniques & breaks are legal, to submission, unless they dont tap. Dont u think if that Dim Mak shit actually worked that everyone would be doing it???

There are mystical fighters and then there are those who actually prove themselves. How do u test the effectiveness of your one punch KILLS etc in competition. You wouldnt want a loss on your record. My point being most of this stuff is likely to be rusty theory and an experienced MMA fighter is polished and ready for it.

No shit! I knew his last fight under contract was with Vitor, but I figured after that win he would had negotiated another one.

HAHAHA! hilarious!

I’m tired of hearing about this pride crap. UFC blows that garbage away. All they do is kick kick kick. B-O-R-I-N-G!

What about a fight where ANYTHING goes. Who would win that?

Pound for pound it has to be that mad Urijah Faber, watching him fight is awesome, only featherweight at about 140 ponds that guy just doesnt stop, unbelievable condition, he is his a top wrestler, grappler and puncher. Also in my top list is from K1, Remy Bonjasky - with those killer knees!

Of course, I didn’t bring up any of the fictional stuff, so please don’t quote me on it. Most of that stuff and the crap they teach in most Martial Arts classes should be called “Bullshitsu” anyway.

I don’t know why the “multiple weapons” argument came in. No one likes hand to hand, but it happens. My argument was hypothetical, just like this entire thread. Let’s keep on task here.

Well then, I’d vote for Leatherface.

If we’re talking about real-life people, then there’s really no way to tell. Too many variables, and too many “if…but…then…” situations.

The point is that most military guys I know train hand to hand for fun and excitement. When training for combat they shoot… a lot. So arguing that someone is a baddass fighter because thay are a SEAL or ranger is crazy. If a SEAL was patrolling through the woods unarmed and bumped into a world class fighter and they fought it out to the death your money should be on the fighter because fighting is what he does for a living.

And I’m not saying that your boy Amir isn’t a baddass, but just because he was a super cool army guy who knows “leathal” techniques means nothing. That’s what the first UFC’s showed us that it’s not what techniques you know, but which ones you can use against a real opponent.

The point of the whole post is this: Before I spent one dime on someone’s fighting DVDs or seminars they would have to be able to back up their extraordinary clames with some proof. Right now, to me, the best proof that exist is MMA fighting or full contact fighting.

Check out the Dog Brothers site. The dog brothers did the same thing to stick fighting that the UFC did to other martial arts.

YeahI’ve seen that guy fight. He is bad shit and he’s young. He will be a force in the years to come.

Anmir trains top UFC fighters. I’m willing to bet he can go when the stakes are for life against any opponent… it’s all “bench” fighting anyway.

Cheers!
