I know I have a weak back I am rowing my ass off I can single srm row 140 for 6-8 reps and can barbell row 225 for 5-8 to be honest I think it’s my hamstrings and quads which hold me back
I’m going to bet, given your other numbers, that either you’re lying about your back strength or you have the worst god damn form.
Anyway, I have no particular interest in helping you
George leemans Yates rows

Wouldn’t that just be Dorian Yates’ row?

George Leeman puts his own spin on it he uses momentum and lower back movement to move the weight thus making him move mire weight he can row 495 for 25 reps
Wouldn’t that make them Leeman rows?

This is one reason I’m becoming less and less inclined to use names for exercises for anyone but myself. They’re becoming more and more meaningless.

Haha, yup. Especially when it comes to training lifts vs comp.
I can do sets of Trevor’s Leeman’s Yates rows with 400+ lbs. They’re like Leeman’s Yates rows, only with even more low back and hip movement and less elbow bend.
… Deadlifts. They’re pretty much just deadlifts.
Go on YouTube write George Leeman rows and u will see what I mean

Right. Leeman rows. We’re on the same page.
Anybody remember that kid “TheIceman”? Always talked about “bear mode” and his uncle that could lift dishwashers with 1 hand?
Kinda getting that vibe again. It’s a shame; I get really excited over the idea of a young guy that wants to compete in a great sport, but this keeps happening.

Sadly I do, I’ve been around too long. In a way it makes you long for the days were guys would have to bust a gut for years and compete at a pretty high level just to talk to the Jim Wendlers of this world.
There’s a lot of good advice in this thread. It’s tough getting through to someone that simply doesn’t understand why. Building a big strong back is one of the best pieces of advice given by practically everyone who has been lifting for a long time. I’ve heard it so many times from when I first started lifting and it simply went in one ear and out the other until the last resort was to build a big back. The same goes for learning to do bodyweight movements and focusing on how to use your body instead of how much weight you lift.
OP: Even if you don’t listen now, I hope you keep all the advice given in this thread in the back of your mind. It’ll make sense eventually. Hopefully you don’t waste much time like many have by the time you realize it.

Let’s just call them what OP is probably really doing: shrugs.
Is it normal to have a 205lb bench and a 180lb strict ohp?
Those numbers… don’t make a lot of sense to me.

I hit a 210 bench the other day and I have been strict OHP since 14 first day I trained and only been benching a few months

You seem to spend all of your time on this forum trying to justify yourself, rather than trying to learn what is necessary to improve yourself.

That sounds like what the people in my gym call “bicep curls”.
