I want to get some chaulk, but where can I find some? (Maybe a dumb question but whatever) I lift at home and am now starting to have my grip fail some during deadlifts (doing 285 lbs 1x5). How do you use chaulk, just rub some on your hands?
Also, im trying to find a bigger shaker bottle so I can mix my Surge right. Right now mine only goes up to 25 oz and thats not enough for 3 scoops Surge plus 20 oz of water. Anyone know where to find one? GNC didn’t have one. Right now I just mix 2 scoops Surge with 16 oz water then after drinking some add another 4 oz plus another scoop.
And im trying to find some cheap rubber flooring to have so I can put it down for my deadlifts, in case the bar slips out of my hands. Anyone know where I can find a 6x6 piece or something like that for a good price? (My parents are worried that a normal rubber mat will smell after a while, so anyone know if thats true?) Scheels has 36 sq feet for $100, but thats all I know right now.
Wow, longer post than I expected, sorry about that. Any answers?
Got chalk real cheap on there. Yes, just rub some on your hands. Gymnasts use it too. I got a chalk ball like the kind gymnasts use plus a free big chalk block for dirt cheap.
Bottle = also online.
Flooring… hmmm no idea. Might ask someone who owns a fitness gym, a martial arts gym, a wrestling gym, or a martial arts gym where they get theirs from.
the one i use is powdered and it is the only one that is of any use i’ve heard friends sayng talcum powder and the like but it never works the same as climbing chalk
to answer your question yes there is one is powdered wrapped in cheese wire the other one is what kids use to draw on the pavement
hehe I work for these guys. I recommend a small bag and the ball type chalk. less messy. I use it for climbing and deadlifts. makes a huge difference for both.
Big 5 started carrying lifting chalk after I complained about them not having it. Really, no bullshit. Now, we piss off all the other gym goers. They know to fuck off when the chalk is out and the belts are adjusted, because shit is about to go down.

for chalk is there any difference between the kind of chalk people use to draw on sidewalks and the kind you guys use in the gym?[/quote]
Alot of difference. Chalk last fucking forever too. I brought 4 blocks from ebay at the start of 08 for like $20 and only just finished using the 1st block last week, and I use it alot. The chalk actually came from UK. Just search for lifting chalk.
