While there are tons of really tasty shakes out there, I drink shakes for time savings.

2scp whey
1 shot of EVOO (light)
1 cup oats
1.5c whole milk (lactose free)
cinnimon

just shy of 1000 calories. done.

One protein powder packet to 12-15 oz of ice cold water or non-milk, and thoroughly mix in a shaker or blender. Use 1 or 2 servings per mix.To make your shake more tasteful, simply mix it in with fruits and/or fruit juices, and/or yogurt, and/or low-fat ice cream.

Pulled this off EliteFTS

Trick or Treat Rhodestown Protein Shake

Ingredients:

8 ounces whole milk
1 cup Butterfinger ice cream
4 Reece’s peanut butter cups
2 mini Butterfinger bars
50 grams whey isolate

Nutrition Information:

1,387 calories
74g protein
131g carbs
63g fat

Haven’t made one, but holy shit does it sound good?!

This isn’t a shake but could be if i had a blender and added more milk:

1.5 cup oatmeal
1 cup yogurt
1 scoop strawberry whey
a few crushed up blackberries
2 large scoops almond butter
enough whole milk to make it mixable

i eat this pretty much every day. i might try adding some coconut oil it too, could be good

I used to make a shake where I’d just rough out some quantities of the following:
Handful or two of raw spinach
Frozen or fresh berries (blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries)
2 scoops Metabolic Drive Low Carb Vanilla
Scoop of coconut oil
Pour of olive oil
Pour of some vegetable juice from Whole Foods
1-2 scoops Superfood
Some creatine and leucine

Then add some water + ice and blend.

Maybe I’m just missing out, or I’m just a minimalist.

1 Packet of BetaStatin WPI (chocolate, as I consider this to be the only safe flavor for protein)
1 Banana
1 spoonful or 2 of Power Butter
If I’m feelin crazy, I’ll throw in a handful of frozen strawberries.

I take most of the other stuff you guys are listing in capsule form (BCAA, L-Glut)

ASIDE from protein shakes

Super-pulpy orange juice
Lowfat plain yogurt
Any mix of frozen berries (blue, ras, black, marion, straw) maybe peaches or cherries
1 packet of my superfood stuff
1 cup of Granola

The shake that I drink every day is:

2 scoops protien powder: 280 cals, 54g pro, 6g carbs
1 cup oats: 380 cals, 14g pro, 64 carbs
2 tbs of peanut butter: 190 cals, 7g pro, 7 carbs
2 bananas: 105 cals, 1g pro, 27 carbs

Total: 1,060 cals, 74g pro, 104 carbs

Throw all that in a blender with 6oz of water and one tray of ice cubes. Could add milk for more cals (but I dont like milk at all)

Haven’t tried it yet.

When you guys add oats to your shake, do you use a blender to blend them, or do you just put them in your shaker and shake them in?It seems like theyd be a difficult texture if you dont blend.

Heres the best method Ive come up with so far.

Put the oats in a coffee grinder. Grind them into a powder. You can also put them dry in a blender and do the same thing but it will take longer. I usually buy two canisters of oats. I grind one whole canister and put the powdered oats back in. And leave the other one for when I want to eat oatmeal.

Adding the oats to the blender after the liquid is in there wont get them all that fine.

Ive never attempted to drink oats whole lol. Sounds miserable.

Lol the OP asked for what people do to make their OWN shakes, ya know sort of like personal recipes. Pretty sure most of us can read the directions on the jar of protein powder.
