not sure how many people wake up and eat a shake and then a real breakfast on T-Nation but thats what i do and i figured i’d start a thread where everyone posts their “wake-up” shakes. Also i want someone to rate my shake A, B, C, D, F. Here is mine:
1/2 cup blueberries
35-40g whey protein
2 tbsp omega 3-6-9 oil
6g leucine
10g glutamine
10g creatine
1 banana
60-70g carbs (waxy maize)
16 oz fat free milk
i think after doing the math it comes out to approx. 1180 calories…
I wouldn’t bother to add waxy maize, I’d just use maltodextrin or dextrose. The whole point of waxy maize is that it’s low osmolality, when you combine it with all those other osmolites, it defeats the purpose.
I really like the idea of actually blending together a meal replacement shake. That’s something I’ve never done. I’ll have to grab me a blender, move the fuck out of this gay ass dorm room, and start making some sexy shakes.

tastes even better, its such a good way to get the calorie furnace going…
on my off days i make crazy ones for fun, like this one:
6 mint oreos
2 scoops mint choc. chip ice cream
16 oz whole milk
1 scoop russian bear 5000
1 digestive enzyme capsule
over 2 g’s in cals, but i drink it over a course of 2 hrs
