I don’t know. The ratios all seem legit, except of course the discus is low. Also, the feet & inches is in accurate conversion from metric marks. At least I know the pole vault mark is, for sure. I don’t see any reason to doubt this guys claims except that the numbers make him a world class decathlete.
Trey Hardee posts on Pole Vault Power.com. Is it far fetched that a less elite decathlete might be posting here?
Well, unless he’s a decathlete it’s bullshit. Track is about specialization. Guys running the 100 are not throwing the javelin, for instance. Heck, they aint runnin the 1500 either ![]()

I started at a karate gym when i was like 5 yeaors old or something, i really hated to go there because i was missing sesame street at that hour of the day haha after one year of trying to convince my mother that i wanted to go to karate class i finally could get away from it.Did greco-romanian wrestling for 2 years(I actually enjoyed that) I played soccer for like 4 years but at that time i had some temper issues and i got into a fight everytime someone called my mistakes when we were playing. Later i bega to get involved into weightliting, nothing seious just some lifting sessions in my backyard with moderatly heavy stuff when i was 11, then when i got into middle school and the school took me as a competitive sprinter i was like 135pounds those days, then i got into boxing for like a year and abandoned the boxing training to get involved into bodybuilding i got up in weight a lot i was 165 pounds at 14 years old i was short so i looked somehow ripped with that little weight, then i went back into the boxing gym when i was 16 the coach remembered me and my name and tol me “Shit son! you are all muscle bound now! we have to get you in shape and loose a little that stiff body!!” i was 175 at that time and he slimmed me down again to 165. i had pretty decent skills i beat up a decent amateur boxer in sparring in just 2 months of training. I had to pull out from my first boxing match due to strong migraines that didn’t let me train or eat let alone fight in a ring. Later i got away from the boxing gym, i was involved in powerlifting now i got to 186 pounds in a still very short frame so that was the most muscular i was in my life i did pretty decent numbers. Later that year i went to study to Juarez, Mexico. There the Juarez olympic weightlifting team convinced me to join them but i had to quit school, man i was chasing my dreams!! i went down to 171 again to make category, Had a lot of trouble in the house i stayed had a lot of trouble with my coach my weightlifting teammates where jeallous and stuff and i quitted again, went to my original town, and started Muay thai trainig, and yes, i quitted muay thai training too… So now i’m here again looking for another chance and trying not to screw things up :/
Haha, I believe 22 is about an average college time.
Belligerent probably knows more about sprints than anyone on this site. I’d like to hear from him if he thinks some Joe (especially of Veg’s general build) could, with little block or curve experience, go out and drop a 22 in just a few efforts.
His times suggest that he was doing different things at different points in his life. Maybe he dropped that 22.1 when he was younger and lighter. Maybe he only attempted the HJ a few times when he was a sophomore in HS. We don’t know. But if there’s any time on that list that jumps out as being hard to believe, it’s the 1600m.
Veg has said he ran middle distance in college so I was less skeptical of a really good 1600 time than a really good 200 time. Also, I did think that 200 time was better than the 1600 time.
Well that does change things. Anyone fast enough to run 22x and 49x is fast enough to run a hell of a lot faster than 2:05 and 4:22 if he’s actually training for mid-distance. With that kind of speed he should have been running 1:50 and 4 flat.

i don’t post much, but a lot of you guys know absolutely nothing about track. 22 is NOWHERE NEAR making the olympics (at least in the US). I had a friend run 21.77 in high school (our school record) and his PR in the 400 was a high 49. 22 will get you your ass handed to you at the NCAA’s, nevermind the Olympics. you need to be running 19.xx or a LOW 20 to make the olympics for the US. top 8 at the 2010 NCAA championships all broke 21:
and 4:00 flat is world class in the mile, not gonna win any major international competitions with it, but you could probably run professionally overseas with a 4:00 mile. 4:22 in (i’m assuming) high school does not automatically mean someone would run 4:00 in college.
i don’t understand why someone with a 22.x and a 49.x would run middle distance in college with only a 2:05 and 4:22 PR’s. seems like they’d be more built for the sprints.
EDIT: i suppose i can contribute: played football and track for four years of high school, played everything they offered in middle school. WR/RB in football, 200,400,800,4x400 in track. (rarely the 200 though, only when we needed a body who could pick up a point or two at meets)
I didn’t have money in highschool to pay the entrance fees for sports and also worked too much to make practice/meets, but was recruited into kendo where my sensei paid for most of my stuff. He was building a women’s team to compete on a national level.
I was always good at getting the tie, so he would place me in the position where the other teams would place their highest ranking fighters and we’d rack up points in the first four matches, and then I’d simply prevent them from coming back with the last fighter.
At one point the high school track coach also tried to recruit me when I ran a 2:30 800 in gym class with no previous training for it, but I couldn’t pay and didn’t have time.
Track.
I played basketball in highschool. Played soccer and baseball when I was younger.

That little boy looks so imposing and impressively technical. Pretty fluid in his moves.
Well I was thinking my unborn son or daughter should get into Judo as soon as they walk but after seeing this, I’ll tempt them into wrestling.

That kid has ILS at only 5 years old. His parents need slapped.

As some other guy pointed out, I was not cereal. Looks like the kid is 8 now.
He’s gonna be a freak if he quadruples his bodyweight and has 15-20 years of experience behind him.
Edited for fucktartedness.

Or he’ll just get frustrated and bored with the game if his parents push him too hard. A guy on my team in HS was like that.
