What's Considered Good Size?
BodyByGame20

Maybe benching 300lbs as a max, curling 175lbs as a max, deadlifting 240lbs for sets…yeah maybe that is average. At least I put forth some effort.

If those are your numbers (you can basically curl your bodyweight?) I would seriously recommending doubling up on your lower body work compared to upper. Deads should be MUCH higher relative to the others.

You deadlift less than you bench? You curl 2/3 of your deadlift weight? If those stats are real then you have some major imbalance issues guy.

Okay, very cool answer.
How much are you weighing now? You at 210lb looks very good, what kind of weight were you putting up then?

It’s not what I max at on deads, It’s just what I do sets with.

honestly, deads scare the fuck out of me all that talk about injuries to the lower back and stuff.
So, it’s what I do my sets at, I figure it’s a high enough number to get some moderate gains.

The other Rob, I own that Arnold shirt, it gets a lot of questions.

I was hitting about 405lbs on the barbell bench press. That was around the time I moved to more dumbbell work.

Does dumbbell help out the lower pecs more?

That area and the lowest parts of my abs seem to be problem areas. They are like the only parts of my body that retain fat.

Just so you know, I can’t decline my bench, it’s only does incline and flat, otherwise I’d be declining for the lower pecs…

That’s how that works, right? haha

I thought I was a “work-out nazi” and that you were leaving?

Switch to sumo deads and focus on squats (front and back). 240 is likely a waste of time

Shhh…

I understand that there was a mis-communication now. I didn’t get my point across properly and I’m willing to own up to that.

I apologize.

Next time I’ll try and be more thorough in my questions.

I’m 210 lbs @ 5’6" tall and have been an active member of this site since 2007 and this is THE very FIRST time I’ve had the balls to try and play with the “big boys” of the bodybuilding forum. 6’1" 165/ 5’1" 185, I would humbly listen and learn from others without too much arrogance. Just my 50 year old two cents worth.

NOTE: Professor X, I’d love a current photo, you must be one big dude if you’re bigger than your 210lb photo, you really looked great there. Tim

dont stop til you look like this

giterdone, I’m looking up sumo’s and they all seem to end at the top of the chest (at least in these pictures), is that how they’re supposed to be done?

Haha. Here I come Jay Cutler!

The top goal, is Franco, no shit. I have a long, hard road to go.

Okay, X, what would be good solid measurments for a fella at 5’10?

I’m 5’10".

This is a bodybuilding forum, therefore, if your goal is to look anything at all like one, then you had best shoot for well over 200lbs relatively lean.

I got compliments back when I weighed 210lbs. I consider that a decent base…at least on me.

But again, anyone with any knowledge at all about this knows that not all people look the same at similar weights.

This was me at 210lbs.[photo]1847[/photo]
X. You are a fucking beast. Such an inspiration.

Could we possibly get a picture of how you look now?

/end of e-hump.

Wow Prof. Just saw your pics in your profile.

Im going to go eat now.

did a quick Google. Don’t know who this kid is but notice that his back angle is more upright than a traditional dead. I switched to sumo for that reason and the fact that I have a congenital lower back issue that really doesn’t like conventional deads.

giterdone, appreciate the video link.

Probably not the best place to ask, but what had you weighed prior to that 210 pic X? I’m guessing you had sat at a heavier weight for a while and cut down?
