my cock after sex.
I’ll have to take your word on it, which is fine with me! I’m at work and then will be traveling for work, so I wont be able to see the video any time soon.
Like I said though, when I get back I’m planning on finding a coach so I can learn how to do these lifts better! Haha I know my form is horrible, but I never really did these lifts before.

make the woman do that for you
I clean my room in 2 minutes and then super set that with cuddling. Get Some!
Haha. Kidding.
Most I’ve ever cleaned was 320lbs, I missed the jerk too and that pissed me off because the clean came up easy!
I only do hang cleans (125x6).
I’m just starting to get in the groove with cleans. Doing a classic Bill Starr program for 6 weeks has really helped me nail down a comfortable form by doing lots of volume. I went from cleaning 135 to 195 this year, and hopefully will clean my BW within the next few months
195 @ 205# BW
Bw 80kg
full clean 140kg
power clean 110kg X 2 (never maxed on these)

Also, in the deadlift it shouldn’t be scraping all the way up your shins, they recently had an article on this site about how if your shins are scrapped/bloody you aren’t pulling correctly.

Having pulled 635 and having trained with a one 881 puller (275 class) and several 700+ pullers(in fact, one did it as a 165), I have to disagree with that. Yes, I have seen some big weights lifted stiff-leg style. But, most successful, hard pulls ride up the legs- just like a Smith machine lubed with talcum and human blood.

Agreed. Anyone seen Andy Boltons shins?
Btw, whoever used westside not training full deadlifts regularly as a way to say that using a power clean is a good way to train your deadlift totally missed the point.

Dude I was only quoting an article on here and said in theory (at least T-Nation authors theory). Not to mention haven’t we talked about how just b/c you have massive lifts doesn’t mean you have perfect form? I’m not saying that the people you have mentioned don’t have good form, I’m just saying that because you( or someone else) lifts X weight doesn’t automatically mean their form is perfect.

What are some of the training techniques you guys have used to increase your cleans?
Right now I’m working with triples between 75-85% of my max.
I’d like to get my clean up to 200+ before track season which starts January.

I like doules and singles personally.
Also, I found that when I was doing a heavy squat program, pushing my squats up all the time, I didn’t see immediate increase in my clean. The clean, squar clean especially, really is a unique animal I think.
235 Hang Clean at 225 BW. I wish it were more but no.
This can give you an idea of where you are for your clean.
So if you have trained for around 2 years, then your right on track as your around intermediate level.
Best is 245x3 from the floor @ 185-190 pounds. I haven’t power cleaned a heavy single in a while. Best split clean is 265 and change (122 kilos).
Reps from the high hang with straps (a couple inch dip from standing, with the bar coming down about halfway in between standing and the knees) seem to be effective.

I haven’t really done a full ATG front squat catch in a long time due to lack of confidence in my knee flexibility after knee surgery (although I can slowly due almost ATG squats normally), so I catch my max effort cleans now a little bit above parallel.
What would you say is the line between a full clean and a power clean?
165 x 6 @ 155, havent done maxes in a long while

Haha oh my college roommate shows up. Lol you SOB I knew you were going to comment on one of my threads!
I just recently started doing power cleans. I love 'em and I want to improve them, as well as my front squat and snatch.
Today I cleaned 255 @ 192 bw. I’ve got the “catch” down, it’s my front squat that needs work.
And yes, people were walking within inches of me doing it.
In fact, guys using the smith machine (next to the power rack I was using) were loading the bar, etc. paying no attention to me. It’d take a second for them to see me patiently waiting.
I did power snatches afterwards and one of them walked right behind me, as if he didn’t realize that if I missed the lift the bar would go towards him.
You guys put my power clean to shame. 135.

:edit: I didn’t know we were supposed to post are “real” numbers, I thought this was an internet weight lifting forum…![]()
at any rate I changed my numbers back to what they really are…I feel weak :,[[/quote]
I am glad to see someone using the proper terminology!!! When most peopel say “power clean” they are refering to a “clean from the floor”. A “power clean” can be done from any position (ie floor or hang). The “power” part comes from the position of the catch, which just means you catch the bar in a quarter squat instead of a full squat position.
