Zombies are melees, so bulletproof vests aren’t that helpful.
A car would be helpful. Do you happen to own one?

You have to remember…once you deal with the zombies, it is the other humans you are ultimately competing against.
I have actually been keeping an eye out for a vest like that, if I could get one for relatively cheap. But it really isn’t a big deal, I think high rep BW stuff is just about as effective as it is when you add weight and lower the reps. And probably a bit less risky for the shoulders.
Solid product considering other weighted vests going up to 60 lbs will still set u back a lot of $$$. Balances out a bit considering cost of supplying ur own plates but still I’d buy it if my dip belt didn’t do the job
I’ve left my calisthenics days well behind me but kinda agree.
Dips/chins/push ups are great movement patterns. Load em and you get gains. Bodyweight seems to suffice because it’s a fair amount right off the bat and can be used to progress for a while like 90kg is a lot of weight to be moving around in a row/chin or dip movement pattern. For chins it still is sufficient for me especially as I’ve gained weight.
Like anything though progress drives gains and gets a bit inefficient without being able to play much with intensity as a variable, leaving volume and frequency.
I generally just alternate back and forth with pullups and dips…sometimes weighted, sometimes not. In either case, “doing more” is always the point.
And even if they are technically calisthenics, I consider both dips and pulls/chins to be mandatory weight training exercises. Dips in particular are hugely underrated. Great for chest, shoulders, triceps, and even lats. A better all around exercise than benching, in my opinion, weighted or not.
Gimme cake
I can’t you’ll get too fat too quick
Happy birthday fella.
Hope Bob spoils you tonight.
Happy birthday big fella. Have a beer for me.
Day C+81
Woke up a bit too early today, and am pretty tired from the last few days. So today was just a Bob day.
Had my boys over for some b-day burgers. Found out my grill was totally out of gas, so had to fry them up in a pan. Still pretty great.
Happy birthday man, hope you have a good one! Drink up tonight.
G-sus Mate been away for a couple of minutes and your log is filled with excellent drawings and 1000 posts.
Happy birthday have a Gulden Draak to celebrate.
Ironically this is the first day in too many days that I haven’t had any alcohol. Too much sun over the last few days, feeling dehydrated and sore.
Happy b-day, C-rex.
Given your name, are you a precursor to a T-rex who wards off the tiny arms via mammoth dip volume?
Nah, but that is why I am good at dips. The short arms make the ROM super easy.
Day Whatever. Didn’t do shit today, needed a day off. So maaaaaaaybe I did a few too many dips, but okay, live and learn. I think I have been a bit dehydrated at the same time, while also spending too much time out in the sun.
Kinda feel like I need to figure out what’s next. My overall transformation from December was actually pretty decent. Dropped about 6 kilo, but I think I managed to keep a decent amount of muscle. Pandemic drinking means I have also kept too much fat. Found out I could do a lever and a bunch of HSPUs if I put my mind to it. Have started to get used to high volume work, which in spite of what it might look like, I actually do not usually like to do. And not to be too graphic, but the high rep low weight squats and Bulgarians have had a pretty positive effect on my legs and ass. Put another way, I learned that my body actually responds okay to stimulus other than heavy squatting and DLs.
But what now? Feel like I need to aim for something, just not sure what.
It’s time to try and dip a big toe in the deep waters my friend.
Thing is, that is something I would probably do, in theory. But I don’t have access to what I would need.
Not sure my old ass nerves would thank me for doing deepwater anyway.
