Shit didn’t realise you use peak heart rates for Pr!
Day C+78
Shoulder Day. Might not looks so bad at first glance, but those last three sets are among the most difficult lifting things I can remember doing in recent memory. It was tough as balls at 47 kilo, but this was something else entirely. Serious doubt starts to set in at about rep number 11 or 12, and you just have to tell yourself to “don’t fucking stop”. The reps are not beautiful, because they have to go fast, and they only just go under the chin before they have to pop back up. Rest period…no idea. It takes a minute after the set is done just for the blood in the tissue to let through signals of pain and fatigue. Then it hurts for a few. And then you have to catch your breath and find your center. And then you have to convince yourself to actually step up and do it again.
Standing Barbell Shoulder Press (OHP)
- 25 kg x 5 reps
- 35 kg x 5 reps
- 45 kg x 5 reps
- 55 kg x 3 reps
- 65 kg x 2 reps
- 71 kg x 3 reps
- 49 kg x 20 reps
- 49 kg x 18 reps
- 49 kg x 15 reps
No way I can do this at 51, which would be the next step. Might just have to work on getting 1RM up first. Which sucks when I have to pull this shit from the floor every time.
Did some upright rows to hit traps and all that afterward.
This may be helpful.
While that drawing is obviously epic, I am struggling to understand what it depicts, exactly. A bar resting on the backs of chairs for some reason, and me appearing to fall down between them. How am I supposed to take advantage of this obviously well thought out instruction?
Oh wait. It is so I do not have to pull it from the floor. Looks safe!
Strong stuff mate!

You’ve only to look at the quality of my work to answer that question. (No, I’m not.)
If only Yoel would have believed a bit more when he met Adesanya.
Day C+79
Leg day, didn’t even quite know what I was going to do until I was halfway through it. Which is just a way of saying that I was psyching myself out. Maybe the Romero video helped. Last time I did 353 at 65 kilo, and I recall it sucking quite a bit. So yeah, I was not looking forward to 67. In then end, it was ultimately easier than last time, didn’t really have any trouble with it. Finished it with some Bulgarians.

Everytime somebody shares a link of people butchering this song, a puppy dies. ![]()
That’s a lot of reps, good work. Maybe while you are at home with less access to weight you should try the Hungarian squat program that @jackolee ran. I am sure he can give you the details but it was something horrible like working up to 8mins of non stop squatting !!
More… more… MORE
But it’s cruel and inhumane.
Guinea pigs will fill the void and dominate the world
Lol… and a delicacy as well.
Lol, why would I or anyone else want to do 8 mins of endless squatting? Next you’ll have me signing up for waterboarding classes.
