Are you suggesting his mom is now a zombie?
PossiblyâŠand from the sound of things a horny one
Day C+6
No sounds from the neighbors, so I am pretty sure the zombie problem has been taken care of. I will be sure to keep an ear open for any unusual sounds.
Still no symptoms. Had to venture out for a bit of foraging today. Luckily, there is a gas station within very easy walking distance, and it also happens to be the place where I needed to pick up my Yoga Blocks, which arrived to today. More on that in a minute. Dressed in my ugliest sweatpants and Baby Yoda fake merchanise t-shirt imported from Poland, I made my way down the street. Had to dodge a few piles of dogshit, because apparently even in the apocalypse people are too damn lazy to clean up after their animals. I canât prove that it wasnât actually zombie shit, now that I think of it. I may have to take a sample next time.
Get to the gas station, show the girl behind the counter my notification for the package. Old dude saunters up behind me, looking like he is preparing to sneeze on my or something. âBack the fuck up, asshole!â I thought to myself in the safety of my own head. Girl came back, put down the package and said I didnât have to sign for it, because signing for packages is a surefire vector for Covid-19 transmission. I also bought a case of beer. Itâs the end of the world, I am allowed to drink beer, people.
Got the goods safely back without getting attacked by zombies, nor stepping in their zombie poops. Washed hands, de-sanitized, etc. Yoga Blocks are smaller than expected, but definitely good enough and pretty much just what I needed. The package said I could use two of them to pull off the apparently advanced âdog pointing forwardâ yoga move, but I donât even know what those words mean. Anyway, I like them. Tested them out on a couple HSPUs, and they will do the trick. I unexpectedly found them to be a good pushup aid. I hate pushups, partly because they are boring, but also because they annoy my wrists. But not with these things! Good hand position either close or wide, and able to go into a nice little deficit.

That was a lot of push ups and pull ups Cyrrex
Probably should have been more pushups. But I kinda hate them and almost never do them, so have to get into the habit.
Push ups will come in handy when you have to push thru the zombie hoarde. Just stay away from failure.
Thatâs a lotta dam pull ups too!!!
As with all good zombie movies and tv, the primary danger is all you other bastards!
Could you eat zombie meat and not become a zombie if you cooked it thoroughly?
Need to keep protein high, donât want to lose the gainz.
Stay safe: eat pizza.
But Iâm trying to cut!
Just donât eat no fat assed zombies and youâll be ok
Got it, lean zombie meat only.
Had an idea to improve on the Yoga Block thing. Remembered that I had a few outdoor cement tiles laying about, which I originally dismissed because I knew they would slide and/or scratch the hell out of the hardwood floor. But! Then I also remembered that I have a bit of leftover no-slide carpet padding (you put them under a small rug to make sure it doesnât slide across the hardwood floor). So I just cleaned the cement tiles and wrapped them puppies up in the padding. Viola! These things are practically glued to the floor. So then I figure, the tiles can stay where they are up against the wall and be used as they are, or I can put the Yoga Blocks on top of them for even more of a lift off the floor. Looks like this:

Pretty solid, it doesnât move at all. And then I can just take the blocks and do pushups with them elsewhere.
Day C+7
All quiet. No signs of the amulatory dead. No symptoms, other than a weird sniffle.
BP: 123/76 Heartrate at 47 during the test, my fitbit tells me my resting rate is about 50 over the last week, month and year, which is where I like it. Nice and consistent.
Woke up at about 78.5 kilo the last few days, so as expected I have shed a little since isolation began. Eating a bit less, no creatine in the system. Still a bit too much fluff around the midsection, but maybe that is just the cost of being so goddamn old.
Feeling a nice little bit of DOMS from the pushups yesterday, so today was just a day for showing Bob who the hell is in charge. The answer is Bob, in case you were wondering. Practicing levers a bit more, took a little video to see how flat/parallel I actually am. Apologies for the partial nudity, I had just finished up with Bob:

Four very long seconds that feel like 30 seconds. Sorta okay. Need to figure out how to get my butt up the last few degrees, but I think it may be quite difficult to get there. Would like to also straighten the elbows, but I am not sure that will work with neutral grip on this contraption, so no biggy. And lastly, to be able to hold it for 10 seconds or so.
So thatâs the lever!
I think the technical term is Shitty Lever
Impressive Cyrrex, if I remember I have to try it tomorrow, looks like a good one.
It looked like you were hanging there forever, Quality
Day C+8
Things mostly quiet. No obvious zombies. Saw the neighbor girl today, so there goes my original zombie/murder theory. Maybe she just stubbed her toe real bad the other day.
Today was, ahem, âleg dayâ, so I wonât note down the specifics. I kinda just lunge from one room to the other, pause to do air squats with slow eccentrics, mix it up. Also do this thing I am considering calling the Bouncy Air Squat (patent pending). Kinda like it sounds. Do the eccentric slowly while bouncing up and down slightly on the way dow. And then bounce up and down slightly on the slow concentric. This will get the legs burning real nice even with just a couple reps. Have the weighted vest on at all times, obviously.
Will mix in other variations as I get more used to these dumb ass lunges. Stair lunges?
Was going to do shoulders (HSPUs) today, but would rather rest the arms another day and do these tomorrow instead. First real go with the new blocks.
Edit to add: I also did a FL for about an 8 count. Possibly also with straight arms (DOH instead of neutral)
How the hell do you keep your heart rate so low? I canât get mine below 60. 5â9 and 205-ish pounds but can run a 6-ish minute mile, so not out of shape. Even if I do regular cardio it just sits at 60 all day. Do you use caffeine much?
