Still no zombies. No symptoms either, but feeling a bit lethargic. I assume it is due to being cooped up and playing a stupid amount of video games.
Sore in a few places today I didn’t expect to be. The living room lunges gave me sore ass checks. I never do single leg stuff, so this is not surprising. My traps, lats and abs are also sore from repeated attempts at those damn levers. This tells me that this is more than just a silly exhibition exercise…it appears to actually be useful as well.
Other than that, gave Bob a bit of the ol’ one-two. But felt tired, so didn’t really go flat out. Hell, maybe I am getting the plague after all.
If you have a floor like hardwood or carpet and furniture sliders then you could reverse and lateral lunges in a very controlled manner. Here’s what I did at PT for my hip. It’s no joke.
Still no zombies. I continue to have no symptoms. Went out foraging for resources today. I was running low on some essentials. Dried spaghetti and tomato sauce. Snack type foods. An assload of cheese for all the omelettes I am planning to eat. And, you know, beer. And a box of wine. Yes. A box. Of wine. It’s crazy how much wine you can get if you buy it in a box.
Old Lady at the store was blowing her nose on her non-disposable handkerchief, and then fondling products. Which products? Nothing that I am going to buy now, thanks very much. I chose not to stab her in the base of the skull. Not sure it is allowed yet.
Took it fairly easy and did some home training.

I am starting to appreciate this cheap pull-up bar, as it allows me to mess around with these levers without feeling self-conscious. I probably need to check my ego a little and work on the singles a bit more.
The HSPUs are just too easy. I don’t mean this as a “humble brag” as @simo74 would put it, I am legit wracking my brain to find a way to get these elevated off the floor. Somebody earlier said I should use cinder blocks, and I am seriously starting to consider it…but I don’t really want to mess up my floor. I need a solution that lets me get at least 4 inches off the ground, is strong enough to hold my weight, but will not suddendly slide across the hardwood floor while bearing my weight. And yeah, not destroy the floor at the same time.
I didn’t even know Yoga Blocks was a thing! I live in Denmark, so I doubt I can just run down to the mall. But Amazon is a thing, will give it a look. Thanks!
Yeah, as long as they don’t flex too much, I think they will be perfect. This is gold, seriously. Just gotta find the right size, and I will order some for sure.
Where’s the fun in that? It always more exciting to be terrified of the still blowing up and the chance of making yourself go blind if you don’t do everything right.
I grew up in cider country (hard cider for you american heathens) and you knew it was gonna be a good party when someone showed up with cider in a jerrycan.
No plain old bragging nothing humbling there.
Well done on the front levers, I’m going to try them as well
And I thought of the yoga blocks as well, but I’m to late for that.
I would say in fairness that the levers I am able to even do at this point are borderline at best. I can’t hold it very long, and it probably isn’t perfectly parallel either. The single leg I am relatively okay with, but it will take some work to master the full one. Also seems a little easier for me with a neutral grip instead of double overhand.
Anyway, I like the challenge. And bonus points when it actually seems to work some muscles.
Guys…possible zombies. Sometime late last evening, I heard some strange noises in the condo next door. Young married couple live there, and we share a wall. Just settling down to bed, and heard some strange moaning sounds, that kind of mindless, thoughtless loud breathing we come to associate with the living dead. It sounded vaguely…female? It sorta increased in intensity, and I think someone must have attacked the zombie, because there was clearly some furniture being knocked around. Eventually it all reached some kind of crescendo, only to stop suddenly. I can only assume the poor guy was forced to defend himself from her violent attacks and ended up stabbing her in the brain repeatedly. Anyway, I can’t be entirely sure.
Other than that, still no symptoms here. Smacked Bob around a bit, did a few pull-ups and practiced the levers a bit more. Probably need to do something a bit more intense tomorrow.
