From experience does anyone know the best way to wear in their belt i have a 10mm elitefts belt and i want to use it tomorrow but its way to stiff…thanks
It should be that way.
a good belt should feel like you’re wrapping an i-beam around your waist.
Try on the 13mm. Then put the 10mm back on. It should feel more broken in.
This would prob be of use to you straight from EFS, http://articles.elitefts.com/articles/powerlifting-articles/virgin-belt-users/

Looks like EFS is selling belts again. Do you prefer the 13 over the 10? I bought a double prong for Christmas, but returned it because it was too small. Thereafter they stopped carrying them altogether.
Just out of curiosity, where do you big guys get your belts, seems like 2xl is the biggest i can find. most 2x said its for 40 to 46, but ive read where most ppl order by this and it ends up too small…
A very important factor when purchasing a new weightbelt is knowing how to measure for the right size. The waist measurement you provide should be the distance from the roller on the buckle to the center adjustment hole on tongue.
#1 Choice: Measure your existing weight belt No matter what style you own measure from the end of the roller to the hole most worn. This will be the most accurate. #2 Choice: If you do not have an existing weight belt. Measure your waist between your ribs and hips (around the belly button). Use a tape measure to get your â??relaxedâ?? measurement.
You CANNOT use your pant size to determine the size of your belt. Whichever method you choose, you must allow for whatever clothing you will be wearing during your workout (IE: Sweats, etc…)

Belts are really personal. I just love my Inzer Lever 13mm. Others like single prong, double prong, and 10mm. I think a 13mm double prong would be a pain to get in and out of, however, but its just preference, and I am sure many here would disagree. In all seriousness, I did not think that there was that big of a difference in stiffness, really, between mine and the 10mm my buddy uses. But I am a sucker for bigger is better, I suppose. Here is a link to a 10mm vs 13mm discussion.

Good post. I’ve ordered a small from Inzer and it’s too small, and then a small from Titan is almost too big. I really regret not going for the medium on that Inzer, especially when I’m in equipment.

I’m about 285-290 and went with an XL 13mm inzer lever belt. If you check thier site, I believe they make them up to 4 or 5 XL. The post above about measureing your waist with clothing/gear you compete in is spot on. In fact, you may want to take a few different measurements with clothing ranging from just a wife beater to a couple of layers that include sweats. This will give you a range to work with if your training apparel varies any from winter to summer and such. Also make sure to measure the area you intend to wear the belt over and not your pant size.
you wear it in by wearing it. give it some time.
Thanks for the reply. I measure between a 44 and 46 depending on sucking in. So it seems like a 2x should work
