I’m looking to get a power lifting belt and I’ve read that many reccomend the inzer forever belt. Only thing is that I’m sorta inbetween sizes. wavering between 33 and 34 inches.
I was looking at the titan lever belts and the belt covers a wider range of widths. so I was wondering if its worth getting the titan belt instead?
I have seen the sizes on the chart. If I hadnt I wouldnt have gone round trying to compare other belts now just because of the SIZING RANGE now would I? This would be the first belt I am purchasing and I don’t want to screw it up, especially since shipping to where I am would cost a bomb, something like almost double the price of the belt.
For the inzer, large goes as low as 34. A medium as high as 33. Hence the question. But seeing how you mention even at 34 inches, you can still bolt it down further, I suppose large would be the size to get if i purchased an inzer belt.
i wear my pants size at 36 or bigger because my legs are hyooge! heh.
seriously though, i whipped out my tape measure for the belt measurement. varies between 85 to 88cm, which works out to 33-34 inches. measured with the tape going around the belly button area.
edit: oops. i realised the question might not have been targeted at me.
get the large. you want a little extra belt length anyway for a buddy to be able to pull the heck out of it and wrench it down tight.
be careful if you need to punch holes in it. don’t use a drill or anything that won’t cut a clean hole. a frayed hole will rip over time. you can get leather punches at harborfreight.

so i finally got my belt! Inzer 10" forever lever belt. was really happy to just feel the weight of the box holding the belt and the subsequent opening and adjusting of the belt. heh.
i do have another question though. I tried squatting with the belt just now in an attempt to break in the belt. on the first try, i found myself moving my weight further up my toes as compared to the usual push off with the heels.
on the second though, with a very concious effort and readjustment of the bar to sit it lower on my back, i managed to squat more ‘normally’. then on the third time, i tried squatting with the same setup as the second but i found myself shifting the weight forward again.
just wondering if this could be due to perhaps the belt placement/tightness on the waist or would it be less of a problem once i’ve broken in the belt?
I am willin to bet it just comes from having a much stiffer midsection, a new 10 mm belt will make you alot stiffer through the middle. Same as lifting in gear for the first time, it will through you onto your toes real bad. Just keep concentrating on sitting back into the squat and after long you won’t notice it anymore.

thanks for the tip. i’ll try it out again on the next squat day.
settled on the L. glad i did. even after fitting it tightly on a waist of 34", there’s still space to slide the lever down 3 more holes.
I wear 36" pants, so would I have ample room on both ends? thanks[/quote]
DON’T GO OFF YOUR JEANS SIZE!!! Measure yourself where the belt will go. Lets say that measures 38". Keep this in mind… now the belts are sized from the roller of the buckles to the middle hole of the belt. IE an INZER Forever belt size medium is 33-35. SO The belt measures 35" to the middle hole.
I don’t know how the fuck jeans are sized because I wear a 34x34 LEVI but my waist measures 40"?? I have a sized medium belt and I have to REALLY suck in my gut just to get the belt on the last hole. (I bought the belt 4 years ago…i’ve grown a bit since)
