Weak People on T-Nation

LOL

First off, I never said EVERYONE that has good size and is pretty lean is on juice, but, I will tell you I was always, and still am to a certain point, a very naive type when it comes to things like this.

But, I will also tell you, I have been shocked more times than I can count, the guys that are on juice.

You know one aspect that can kinda get in your head when your on gear, is how much it is helping you, and how much you are really doing yourself, I remember years ago, when I first took creatine, even then, you kinda think that it is all really you… it can be hard to admit that you are getting massive aid in the form of gear…

My main thing is, I hate when morons that juice get grouped in with the real bad asses, who are extremely rare IMO.

I dont have anything against people on juice, only dont act like its all your effort, and that you are better than me on a level playing field because I happen not to take this drug.

If you juice the least you could do is admit you are taking a drug that gives you a Herculean advantage over the normal man.

Then I would be happy to concede the 40lbs of muscle and 200lbs on your squat and bench you worked so hard to build up over the last year.

Its kind of like my favorite Godfather quote:

“Only don’t tell me you’re innocent. Because it insults my intelligence – and makes me very angry…”

I don’t think T-Nation was meant to be a collection of only strong people. Rather I find it to be a community of strong WILLED people with a hard-core, die-hard attitude towards training.

LUEshi is correct, the entire focus of training is the journey. For most of us, that journey never ends.

That sounds great on a greeting card. The truth is, even though it is about the journey, if you are still stuck in the first quarter mile of it for 10 years, you may want to sit your ass down on the road and die so the rest of us can have more room to walk.
oh fucken snap!

Everything can be blamed on genetics, if you can deceive yourself enough.

Earlier today, I bumped my funny-bone on the desk as I sat down. You know, if I didn’t have such fucking shitty genetics, my arm probably wouldn’t have been the exact length needed for that to occur.

I give up on life, this is too hard.
shit I would come here even if you guys were all 100lbs, this site is hilarious

I think it’s sad as hell that some fo you think you’re super awesome and hardcore because your consistent with lifting.

So fucking what. Unless you’re busting your ass to the point where you’re seeing dots flying over the walls, and trying to hold back the puke, you’re still a bitch.

Yeah, most of you will consider me “weak” with a 315 squat and a 425 deadlift at !190 pounds. But fuck you guys. I’ve put on 70pounds in like 2 years, I’m gonna be a big man some day.

You set yourself apart from the rest of them when you prove you are ready to get under some heavy ass weight. A weight you’ve never tried before. You don’t allow yourself to be defeated by a metal rod and some plates.
haha, nicely put

So, you really assume that every big guy you see who uses steroids somehow neglects to train hard and eat right? Do you think Ronnie Coleman looks the way he does simply because he used steroids?

Professor X, now Im not saying you are on juice because I really have no idea, but seeing as how you are so knowledgeable about most things when it comes to weightlifting,

you must know that one of the most if not the most beneficial side effect of juice is the massively increased drive to eat and lift, you dont just get more dedicated because you are juicing, the juice makes you more dedicated.

Its not like juice only helps build the muscle but you have to put in all the blood sweat and tears! I know how it is!

How can I say this simply. Lets see. YOU DONT GET TIRED WHEN YOU ARE JUICING, it is a fucking superhero drug, YOU ARE NEARLY INVULNERABLE TO FATIGUE, YOU ALWAYS WANT TO GO TO THE GYM, that is what the drug does to you.

Its fucking cheating plain and simple, thats the only thing I never understood about you X, why you respect people who juice over those who arent nearly as strong with the only difference between the two is the juice.

The reason I say know all of this is because I took an over the counter anabolic a few years back, and it laughable how much bigger and stronger I got, easily putting 20lbs on over a 3 month period, and that wasnt even the strong shit, so please, cut the fucking bullshit acting like you are a more disciplined, harder worker if you juice and get huge as a result.

This dedication you talk about X, it can be purchased, there has to be some higher standard for those you have that dedication, and the strength and size to boot, without cheating.

I know 5 people who have taken steroids

guy named joe, went from a 455 natural bench to a 500ish over 20 weeks of test and pro hormones. He could have done that naturally.

Guy named nick, taken just about every steroid other than test, he now benches 325 and trains damn hard for it.

guy named john, been on steroids off and on every year for 10+ years. Strugels to hit 405x1

and a few highschool kids who arent impresive at all.

Even with steroids, you need to work harder than others to get strong. Its so funny because most guys who have been lifting for a long time have taken steroids.

steroids are not the difference between someone not impresive, and someone impresive.

just read the whole thread, I must say its one of the ebst I have read in months on here.

My summary on all this bullshit

1: genetics are how small and weak people justify their lack of progress, and how they take away from people who aren’t small and weak in order to make them selves feel better. If you aren’t small and weak and your still playing the genetics card, don’t, it makes you look bad.

Im not saying genetics dont play a big role btw, just saying they shouldn’t be your excuse.

2: T-Nation is full of bitches, I came here origionally and loved it because of how hard core it was supposed to be. Soon I realized it wasnt hard core at all. Just filled with a bunch of fags with big mouths who like to argue why their progress isnt good. (well Im over 35, my genetics are bad, I got injured, my knee’s hurt, I have to work, lifting is hard)

3: Its not about being big, its not about being strong, its about being the best you can be. Trying your hardest. If I see someone working as hard as they can, doing all they can to get big and strong. I give them all the credit in the world. There was a guy on here, his name was ghost or something. Skiny guy wasnt that strong. But he would post training video’s that were just nasty. Guy would train so hard it made me feel bad about how little effort I put into lifting compared to him.

The funny thing about trying your hardest is that you will become something. If you train hard enough even very shity genetics wont hold you back. I find it funny when people claim to train so hard, but they just cant gain weight, or they just cant do squats to failure, and they have a million reasons lined up why they fail. These are the people you want to avoid, these are the people who suck.

If you dont train your hardest, do what you have to do to lose the weight or gain the muscle. And you come on here talking about genetics or some other bullshit reason why you cant reach your goals. Talking about how you will never be big, how you just refuse to gain fat to put on muscle because it doesnt fit your imediate ideals. Well fuck you, the shit isnt easy. Some of us are blessed with the love of lifting, some arent. The fact is to get where you want to go you have to work. Some will work harder than others, some can achieve things that others cant. But you can still become a hell of allot better than you are now, so cut the fucking excuses and get there.

I hope someday it’s a requirement for avatars to be real pictures of the posters! Then when someone mentions roids every time they hear about anyone with a decent physique we can see exactly how pathetic they are.

It drives me crazy how many completely blank profiles I see yet those people are lighting everyone else up like they are any kind of authority.

Okay you put your shitty physique as your avatar so you can afford to talk shit.

Ha ha thanks 150lb with a 250lb bench 1rm and I’m considered shitty? Nice to see you took my comment personal since it obviously didn’t inspire you to be anything other then a cartoon image. Please please put up your glorious images so I can take some advice from you, because I don’t remember posting any advice as a lifting expert.

Good post but it’s pretty fucking easy to say that genetics don’t matter when you have awesome genetics.

I agree whole heartedly about your point number 3, it was precisely my point: it’s not because you don’t look and lift like pros that you can’t be trying as hard to do your best.

Eh. One things for sure I don’t have too many people on my side here! Okay maybe that comment about 230+ guys was bullshit, I have no reason to call you out on your affirmations except for the football guys, there’s no way you can know for sure that they never touched gear.

I don’t know where you live, but I haven’t seen many 230+ lean (we’re talking 7%>) guys that don’t use gear. Actually about half of the lifters at my gym use roids and are about 170…

Ok, we’re evening out here. Sure, there’s no way to know that the football players which I don’t know personally are not juiced to the gills, I totally agree.

Outside of those people I know personally, I’m arguing based on statistics and the wide, wide population of athletes, especially football players. There’s no statistical probability that all of them, or even the vast majority are on AAS, IMHO.

I have no idea where you live in Quebec either, but I do know that your gym seems to be on one far end of the sample pool. It’s easy to draw conclusions about the wider world when all you’ve been around is one specific thing.
You’re most likely right, my observations are biased on the people I know in my gym/school. But it doesn’t change the fact that even in my “sub-par” gym, the guys who use gear, eat like shit, get smashed on weekends and always train the same way still have some of the most impressive bodies. Steroids make a shocking difference, you can’t deny it.

Now I agree that alot of people can and will reach very high levels without gear, I don’t know why I brought that up yesterday it was dumb.

respect ~ at least you can admit it kata ~ ;p but that won’t stop me from laughing at you ~ thanks for the chuckle.

I think Bauer said he was 195 pounds at 16 years old. I was probably 135 pounds.

What Bauer has done and how he has done it since he was 16 that is impressive. I suspect if I would have eaten like that (And I thought I ate a lot) I would be much better off today.

Hey prof, isnt the point of lifting weights and of this site, to get stronger? Why make fun of the guy who is admitting his weaknessess and yet making progress?
