thanks ya it looks so weird… i didnt land it real hard but i def controlled it into the hoop, really good jump tho that’s wat i like most about it haha.
i’ve got a question… when you guys are attempting max height jumps, how long do you wait in between jumps?
I was in the gym today and I basically jump and have about 30 seconds or so till I’m jumping again. Should I wait a little longer or what? I wasnt getting as high today as I was on monday. My knee was a little sore (kinda) so I’m gonna rest it, take my fish oils and then get some jumping in next monday.
I only got a single two handed rim grab/hang today (as opposed to monday where I was getting them at will) I tried dunking a volleyball today but couldnt keep ahold of it. Its kinda slippery cuase its an outdoor ball so i gotta break it in. I tried a few alley oops and was Soooooooo close on 4 or 5 of them. I think I was just tired. hopefully I’ll be feeling good monday and I can throw down a volleyball at least.

I just kinda go by feel. Like in the reverse vid I attemted 5 or 6 dunks in probably no more than 90 seconds [but that also smoked me], but on like a vert rim hang or something I probably wait a bit more between sets.
Side question: Do you feel like fish oil helps? Tried it for awhile but didn’t see or feel any difference so stopped spending the money.

I’m not really sure. I know its good for you and ive heard of all the health benifits of it but I’ve never really had any joint pain issues so I’m not sure how well it works for that? I think you have to be on it consistently for a while for it to work but dont quote me on that.
Also, something I might look into if I was you is something that KingBeef recommended in his “do this routine instead of that dumb one” thread or whatever it was called. he recommended some stuff in there that he said was incredible for joint pain. I dont remember exactly what its called but if my knee is still sore after a day or two then I’m gonna pick up some of it as well.

x2, go by feel, but i usually take around 60s between each dunk/jump for the most part… then ill take a few minutes after say every 4-5 jumps… i get nauseous when i do max jumps haha… so now i try to do some submax dunks in between to let my head recover.

I used to get bad shoulder joint pain from benching with shitty form. I took 6-10 fish oil caps every day for a couple months. It did nothing to help. I personally think it’s a myth. However, I am going to start taking them for the other benefits they have. I’m looking for an affordable mercury free brand.
mostly weak shit but one nice hard make and a really nice hard miss as 55s… the miss is my fav part of the vid, wish i woulda landed it, was really nice.
i was 155 in the morning, bloated as fuck for some reason, so today sucked… court was slippery too… tomororw im hoping to be 150 in the morning etc, and it’s looking like i will be… i wanna kill some hard dunks tomorrow… will probably only have a few max attempts in me since my calorie intake is low, but all i need is a few good ones and im happy.

Agreed on the height. Check out Jacob Tucker, at 5’10" to 5’11". Now that’s some amazing shit, and he’s white too![/quote]
Just saw video of this guy earlier today. Kid has HOPS for days.

^^Nice! There were some really solid ones in there. With a little practice you’ll be throwing down reverse’s all day I bet.
I havent jumped at all this week cause I destroyed my legs in a squat session and they’re still sore. Maybe I’ll try today but I’m not expecting much. If anything noteworthy happens I’ll post it

thanks alot gregron, as always.
ya man, this month i wanna get mills down tho… it rained today so i couldn’t do what i had planned, but, i plan on going to this court nearby mostly, one of those nice outdoor breakaway rim courts, and warmup, then try tricks (mills/other shit) on the 9’ rims for like 20 minutes, THEN DUNK on 10… i think that’s going to make a huge difference in my trick dunking ability, eventually…
because man i have really never done a windmill on any hoop, low rim etc… i dont have that motion at all lmao… i need to work on low rims, gotta suck it up and just do it… single and double arm windmill and then tomohawks also.

cool man ya keep us posted been fun watching your progress too man.
i personally try not to kill my legs to the point where i “can’t walk” etc, ruins my performance training… i do TONS of volume training, but, i stay above parallel, so that really helps with DOMS, barely get any soreness due to not getting anywhere near the end ROM’s with tension.
Nice vid AD. You’re definitely looking more comfortable dunking.
Did ME lower yesterday [and set a pr on the low box squat followed by a ton of assistance work] so my legs are pretty shot, but gonna try and get some vids tonight, assuming I can even dunk, haha. Not really sure why but my left knee has been way achey the past week. Anyway, gonna foam roll, grub then try and get there in about an hour and a half. If anything even decent happens I’ll get a vid.

I wasnt really trying to kill them either… kinda just happened. They were really sore today but I started my workout with Hang Cleans and worked up to 225 for singles and felt pretty explosive afterwards. I wanted to go jump inside but there was a stupid abs class going to I went outside and jumped on the outdoor court. I think it might be a little low. Says 10 feet but I’m gonna measure it next time I’m there. Might be 9’10"
