The protein from Low-Carb Metabolic Drive is a blend of casein and whey, something you don’t get from normal “protein” shakes. The carbs you get are almost strictly fiber from the flax besides the PWO drink of Surge which is made from fast absorbing carbs as opposed to oatmeal. A calorie isn’t just a calorie.
Also without HOT-ROX, I believe Chris doesn’t recommend doing the diet. Among other things, it includes Carbolin 19 which helps retain the muscle you have while on a very low calorie diet. So no, you can’t do that and have the same results as from the V-Diet.
