Unspoken Bald Brotherhood

I tried the Headblade and the King of shaves oil yesterday and nicked myself up a little bit because of my inability to follow instructions and keep the non bladed end touching my head. By the time I was almost done I think I got the hang of it.

I liked the shave oil and had to use very little to shave my head and face, depending on how long it lasts will see if I’ll continue to buy this or stick with shaving gel since it was a little pricey in comparison.

Question:
How often does every shave their heads? Whenever I try to shave my head 2 days in a row or even 1 day in between I always end up with razor burn.

I cannot believe somebody a thread like this. I shaved my head for the first time ever over the holidays because I always wanted to, but finally actually did it. I was going to ask this very question.

It is a major pain in the ass actually for me. No matter how many times I think I got everything, upon rubbing around there’s ALWAYS some spot I missed. I was thinking of trying on those hair removing creams, but was a little hesitant about what it would do to my skin and or what trans dermal effects there may be.

For now it’s the Mach 3 Turbo.[/quote]

Sorry for crashing this thread, but I was intrigued…
Just a thought—would it be totally out of the question to allow your wife/girlfriend to help so you don’t miss any spots? Or is it a “thing” to have to do it yourself? It’s a hot look on the right head, so I would think this could solve your problem.

I typically shave every other day. Some people shave every single day with no problems. It just depends on how smooth you want to be and if you have the time to shave each day.

You could have someone else help you shave, but are they going to be available every time you do it? It’s easier to do it on your own and let your girlfriend do it every once in a while because she likes it and it turns her on.

Mach 3 will always be better than that Gillette Fusion. The face of that thing is too huge

It sounds hot to me. Remember that scene in Phenomenon where Kyra Sedgewick gave John Travolta a shave and a haircut? That was good stuff…

Plain Colgate shaving cream, Schick semi-decent 2-blade disposable, 15 minutes and falling, every other day. St. Ives lotion afterwards as needed.

Frazzled attempt to look hard optional.

Sure, my wife does help me out on occasion but for the most part I do it solo.

Sorry to be so late to this thread, I must have missed it. I use a Mach 3 and shave everyday. I think it looks a lot cleaner that way and honestly does not take very much time at all. Someone mentioned missing spots.

When I first started shaving I found that when you put lotion on (btw you guys who are new to this better make sure to use suntan lotion when you are going to be outdoors) you can feel anyplace you might have missed.
Nice to see so many of my fellow T-Men going for the bald look!

I’ve been shaving my head with clippers with no guard for 3 years, but haven’t made the step to using a razor yet.

One quick question though - do you guys shave with the grain or against the grain? I’m hesitant, but luckily what hair I do have is blond, so I can still get away with the clippers.

Are you still talking about head shaving?

I’m right there with ya brother. I’ve been considering it for years but just can’t take that step.

I think if I lived in a place where my head would see some sun I might. But I don’t want to be walkin’ around with a bulbous white head!

First with the grain, then against the grain.
