we get it man, no need to say it twice.
I agree with pushmepullme and did into Dave Tate’s bench knowledge…then work on your set up ALOT, then get some more weights and a good spottter or 2 and shoot for 405. YOu will be shocked how much a proper set up and technique will add to your bench!

I think this picture basically sums up how I was benchpressing.
Watched the video and Wow. Dave Tate took a shit on me in that video.
“Maybe you don’t know how to fucking Bench”… He’s right.
Thanks to pushmepullme, etc. for pointing out this video. I’m sort of embarrassed that I put the video of me benching up now. But, I’m still glad I did because I think the advice and dave tate video may be the best thing to happen to me since I started lifting. I’m still happy with the 370 though, and even more excited to see what improvements I can make with my technique.
Thank you T-Nation.

And my motivation for technique training and new maxout.
Good Job
strong…
always thought the triceps were the prime movers in the bench. what is it for you?
Good job, poor form or not, you’ve made good progress in 2 years.
Your open attitude and receptiveness to leaning are great attributes. You also look to have excellent physical potential…but use a spotter so your video doesn’t end up on YouTube for the wrong reason.
Holy shit!, that girl in that picture as some beast ass legs!! haha, i just had to post this
haha
I cant stand the whole proper form crap. I myself when i max, i throw it out the window, this whole arch your back shit w your ass on the bench but your lowerback is 8 inches off the bench is consider the perfect form. why not do it natural with everything flat on the bench. In my book your travel distance is less with the arch than it would be natural, so in my opinion its shit. Your from is great, you dont look like that weirdo arching his back just to get a couple more inches closer to the bar. Flame all you want, but thats my .02

Depends why you’re benching. I added 15 pounds onto my bench the first day I did powerlifting style bench press. Since then, my shoulders and triceps have grown a lot stronger and bigger.
nice
lol whatd you say before the last lift? Light weight?? That was awesome.
No, I’m serious! No trolling/sarcasm!
GJ!
Strong bench for shit form. Haha. Honestly, nice lift, but you should learn how to bench properly. 228 lbs and under 16 inch arms? That’s weird.

maybe he’s measuring them un-flexed.
