(Un)Official 2025 T-ransformation Challenge

I’m in! …but for what?
We’re kicking off the 2025 T-ransformation Challenge. Check out last year’s for insights: (Un)Official 2024 T-ransformation Challenge

In fact, since it truly ain’t broke, I’m going to drop the same rules right here for our 2025 go (with one minor exception).

What do I get??
First, you get awesome. But there’s some prizes involved, too.

Winner
I will send the “most transformed” some Biotest supplements at the end of this. These come from me, so I promise the monetary value is not enough for it to be worth cheating… but it still pays to win!

Additionally, @QuadQueen, a bonafide RD, is offering a free phone consultation to our winner to keep their momentum going strong!

MVP
I’m changing this up - the MVP is the most supportive person in the thread, and truly important to me as I think this is the best lifting forum community still in existence (by a mile). It introduced me to the works (and actual people) of coaches like Christian Thibaudeau and John Meadows. The problem is, the very nature of you damned fine people makes it ludicrous to try to select an award a winner - we can’t pick and you won’t accept. So this year, we’re going to try out:

Tribes
Totally optional, but several posters have indicated an interest in running goals/ programs/ diets together. So what I suggest is, as you put in your goals, you have two options:

  1. Tell us what program you’ll run if you already know; folks can join you
  2. Tell us if you need a program, and folks can recruit you
    We can set up and tag each other in logs as appropriate, and see how this plays out. We get the community, an MVP potentially emerges with all influencer bragging rights, and we get to call each others’ bluffs on who actually has great methods.

Better Luck Next Year
We don’t all end up where we want to go, but this is about the community supporting our journey. For the person that didn’t hit their goal, and is brave enough to ask for help, we have that solution too!
@T3hPwnisher is offering your choice of (depending on how which goal you missed) “Super Squats” and a gallon of milk, “Mass Made Simple” and a box of uncrustables, or “Feast, Famine and Ferocity.”

@QuadQueen is also offering to set this person on a path to greater success with a dietary phone consultation.

I’m in! Hit me with the rules, blabbermouth!

  • Adults-only. I want this to be inclusive, but I simply won’t be a part of shirtless teenager Internet pictures; 18+.
  • Gotta post two photos where we can see what you’re working with - tends to be shirtless for men and sports bra or similar for the ladies. Live in your comfort zone (nothing weird), many of us block our faces because the myth of anonymity makes us feel better, and only a front relaxed picture is “mandatory.” We all know you’re more awesome if you’re brave enough to show back and legs, though. Try to keep the same lighting/ location between the two, but none of us are pros at this (except the couple posters in this incredible community that are legitimate pros).
  • Tell us your goal! Maybe you aren’t trying to get as lean as possible - we’ve seen incredible mass-gaining transformations; let us know what you’re doing so we can get in your camp. We’re deciding on what we think is the most impressive “after” vs “before” - purposefully ambiguous so this is open to us all.
  • If you’re interested, initiate or join a “Tribe” according to the header above.
  • Start a log using the t-ransformation2025 hashtag and link it here if you want us jumping in there to follow along, cheer and offer advice.
  • Before pictures: no later than January 5, 2025. I’m giving us through the New Year weekend, but I’m asking you to get them in on time so I’m not chasing them down. Later entries just shorten your window anyway. Drop your picture on this thread (or your log, but it’s easier for me in here) and tag me (@TrainForPain) so I don’t miss them!
  • After pictures: no later than May 26, 2025. This is Memorial Day in the US, so some of us may want to go early before we blow it out at BBQs that weekend… I’m holding to this deadline because we need a point in time for me to set up the voting thread.

I’m always keen for this, I’m on a cruise end of May and plan to turn up to that looking ripped, so this times out well, now just to follow through and execute.

I’m in too. Looking to get shredded for the first time after putting on muscle for the past few months. Timing is perfect with a trip to Aruba in May.

I don’t have aesthetic goals per se, but the goals I do have will probably give me some good body comp changes anyway, so why not? @TrainForPain do we need to wait until the 1st for the ‘before’ pictures, or can we get them up here now?

I’ll be cutting hard from now until 2/1, but come 7:10am on 2/1, I’ll be eating to grow!

Fair question. Let’s say no earlier than Dec 21 both so I don’t get overwhelmed and so our befores are theoretically all within a couple weeks of each other - more for momentum and camaraderie than any competition control.

Does that work for you?

Separated my shoulder a couple weeks ago (#crippleCrew), hoping I’ll be close to full strength by the time this starts but if not we will get creative. Plan is to get lean, put on some mass (both kinds) recently and think that the layer underneath is actually going to be pretty impressive when it gets exposed.
