No couch?
No, just the “bariatric chair” to the left, which I actually briefly napped on Tuesday. (Bariatric chair = chair for obese people.)
Maybe it has something to do with the way the words sound, but I’ve always thought that bariatric and barometric were somehow related. Like maybe bariatric patients weren’t at the correct operating pressure.
Impressive deadlifting!
Is he even still alive ?
He was in 2019, when I last emailed him
Good to to know.
Aww now I am blushing.
Thankyou. Although there was that one body fat % thread that got closed down where maybe my positivity flask was empty. LOL
Pics coming this week (obviously…), I started at 206 and had seen the number 177 on the scale what feels like 2 weeks ago and was just waiting to officially hit 30 pounds down before I called it a day (my wife is dieting with me and is happy for my loss but I perhaps a bit discouraged at how much and how fast I lost weight which is much harder for her for a variety of reasons, but she is down 10 or 12 pounds too which is awesome)
However that last 177 turned into 178 and 179 - and while I know the scale is fickle and measures much more than just fat, bone, and muscle - I did want to have that official 30 pounds in the bag… And it aint for lack of trying, I am really in the bottom of the basement for calories and have thrown in several hour long cardio sessions just to move the needle…
And Im also 100% aware the after pictures at 177 will look 0% different from 176, but if you know you know haha … its GOTTA be the whole 30lbs I get on record damnit!
I have faith the process is working and will get there, but rain or shine I will get pics in by end of month
Oh yeah I have to thank @jdm135 @kleinhound @throwawayfitness @simo74 @T3hPwnisher and @FlatsFarmer for the comments and help in my process this deployment. I started at 295 and I’m sitting at 254 and of this morning. I missed the entry for the transformation but I’m happy with my results.
Edit : Apparently there was an entry window up to Jan 5
But hey… If you wanna give youself 2 months to compete against everyone elses 5 thats on you haha… I say you should be allowed the enter! Some honarary “If only…” category if nothing else
Post pics here still, we could all use the motivation and inspiration
I’ll have to find a place with good lighting and privacy which isn’t likely on a ship with 5,000 other people. But I’ll see what I can do. Otherwise I’ll just have to use pics from April 29th.
I expect an on deck silkies only photograph holding an anti aircraft weapon
Man I wish I was as thick as that guy lol
We don’t expect perfection, lol.
First, congrats to everyone that signed up and has made it this far! Second, for anyone that isn’t satisfied with what they’ve accomplished, a friendly reminder that this stuff just takes time. I was recently taking stock of what I’ve done on my fitness journey and while it’s been some big changes, it’s also taken years(closing in on a decade for me) and not months for the real ‘magic’ to happen. It’s amazing how those small wins stack up into something huge! Just never give up!
Hey folks - keep sending pics and tagging me please. I’m bouncing around a bit, but I’ll log in early next week to remind everyone to submit their “afters” and I’m saving all these for the voting thread.
Thanks and great job!
Okay, TNation!
Weight at start of challenge 159.2 lbs. Today’s weight 147.4, for a total loss of 11.8 lbs. I’m pleased with it, though would still like to lose the rest of the 20 lbs that were my goal.
I had my blood drawn today for my annual physical, and am super excited to see what, if any, change there has been. I’ve certainly been eating well, and am now getting something in every day, exercise-wise.
The challenge has been a huge success for me - more so than any previous challenge here at TN. I wasn’t willing to take really revealing pics for the “before” pics, which I regret now, but I do have a couple of underwear shots (not shareable) that are pretty surprising. I almost feel like “who is that?” because right now I feel so much more like my regular self. I’m back to walking around comfortably in sport bras and whatever bottoms. Husband is happy about that. Just a really, really good six months for me.
Pics that match my “before.”
Pics that show the change:
(This next one is from May 3rd, so I’m stronger and cut-er than this now, obviously.)
@TrainForPain
congrats on your progress. well done.
Awesome job!!! This is my favorite part. Seeing all the progress!!!
