Well I have officially taken my “After” photos! My goals have all been accomplished! I’ve gained a little bit of muscle mass and added weight on all of lifts. I’m by far the leanest 210 that I’ve ever been! I’ve had to grind for those 3 pounds! The PR’s just keep a-coming in my log! This is only the beginning! Been doing Fortitude Training as my primary vehicle to gainz!

I would also like to nominate @simo74 as my MVP! He’s a consistent force in my log offering encouragement, wisdom and humor! Love that dude! I’ve also been very inspired by the work that he is consistently putting forth in his own log! I want to be like Simo when I grow up!

@davemccright - Looking great sir, clearly showing what intention and intensity can deliver.

Really appreciate the kind words and truly happy that you can draw motivation from my own training, as I do from yours and may others on here. Salute and Respect.

@kleinhound thank you so much brother! Means a lot coming from jacked mf like yourself! Your freaking wheels have blown up man. Next level!

@simo74 I appreciate the kind words! It’s been very inspiring seeing you gain all of this muscle at this very advanced lifter state that you’re in! That’s what I aspire to!

Thank you so much! And @anna_5588 thank you! I’m good at shouting “yay!” It’s my specialty.

@bigmac615 what a change since the start! Well done! How are you feeling? And how much weight have you lost now?

I’ve been thinking a lot about my MVP, and @QuadQueen is going to have to be my official nomination, but there have been so many helpers along the way - some of whom I never interacted with, just read posts by.

@TrainForPain has responded with either joy or support to every single post in this thread as far as I can tell. Thank you. You’ve had a lot going in in your personal life, I know, and it can’t have been easy to have this added.

@T3hPwnisher I think you know how much I value your contribution to the site and me personally. Your combining of science, lore, and personal experience is so valuable. It takes time to share at the level you do. It’s appreciated.

@simo74 you’re just a shining light of positivity. Combined with your incredible progress, it’s impactful!

@throwawayfitness thank you for consistently following my log and offering your “likes.” That someone as dedicated as you takes the time makes me more dedicated. I don’t want to disappoint! It matters. Thank you.

@SkyzykS you’re the best. You’re like the brother I always wished I had. Even your horrifying story of dog-bite-face-sepsis cheered me. Eat more vegetables so you don’t die!

And of course everyone else. What a great thing the challenge is, for all of us.

@QuadQueen thank you for your time and effort, kindness, and humor. Thank you for offering a phone call! I may someday take you up on it - but for now I’ve gotten everything I need to feel confident that I’m on the right track/s.

I’ll take pics tomorrow and get them in, @TrainForPain.

You are SO very welcome and sweet. I absolutely love how “real” and honest you’ve been throughout this journey. It’s not all black and white, life happens and abs aren’t everything. Progress > Perfection. You’ve totally rocked this challenge and have demonstrated that you can get results and still enjoy food and life too. Mad props to you!

And that phone call offer will always be on the table! I really like to talk and am also HILARIOUS. You will, if nothing else, be entertained. Lol. Right, @TrainForPain, @freshyfresh, @LoRez, @TriednTrue, and @atlas13?

You made my morning with that post @EmilyQ , and I owe you so much for my own well being. Same with @QuadQueen , and same with so many other posters. I owe this little corner of the internet SO much for all the positivity it has contributed to my life, and will always be willing to give back. So, in that regard, big thanks to @Tim_Patterson and the rest of the team behind all this.

@QuadQueen you’re hilarious, insightful, and straight-up enjoyable to talk with, whether about training-related topics or all the other things in life :slightly_smiling_face:

Confession in the T-ransformation thread - I crapped out on the challenge this year. I started a new job in January, got sick three times in a row, and had a vehicle-buying debacle that lasted a freaking MONTH, so I shoved the challenge past the back burner and right off the Stove of Current Life, Early 2024 Edition.

I’m getting back to exercising now and even thinking about eating healthy again, and I plan to post pics (you’ve been warned!) but I’m under no delusions of winning or even showing improvement. On the flip side, I got my reliable Honda back from the stealership and have a better job than where I’d been working for the last couple years, so #LyfeGainz.

I have been following along quietly and just want to tell everyone great job and excellent work put in this spring.

I actually want to give credit to everyone for the sense of community you’ve all built.

This is a far more mature place than it was a decade ago; nobody is forcing their goals on you, and they will support you in your own pursuits with their own experience and dogma, always with an “it worked for me, but ymmv”. If it weren’t for all the logs and discussions [and arguments], there’d be nothing to learn from.

As far as specifics, on the diet front for me, @QuadQueen, @T3hPwnisher, @jskrabac and @RT_Nomad all have been incredibly generous and helpful (directly or indirectly). Also thank you to everyone who ran the V-diet or RFL and logged their experiences: those of @TrainForPain, @alex_uk and @BrickHead stand out.

From a training standpoint, @FlatsFarmer was the one who pointed me at Sheiko and completely changed my trajectory in terms of how I even think about these things. It’s given me a new framework to evaluate, and reevaluate everything else I’d learned.

From a motivational standpoint, @throwawayfitness has been following along the whole time, cheering on the wins, along with a couple great conversations.

Very true, but yogi is still my vote for mvp.

Then it would be a fun call indeed, because I am known for being funny. I consider myself to have won the day if I can make a suicidally depressed person laugh. Even better if it’s an awkward teen.

I mean, people pay to sit in a tiny room with me for an hour. That’s how funny I am.
