I know. I’m just teasing. It just looks like such crazy progress for one week. And your expression - haha! It just struck me as funny.
@kleinhound holy shit dude.
Calling it a “soft launch.” Pleased with the BW and waist - though getting to 33" is probably going to take another 5-6 lbs of weight loss. I’m getting at that point that Dave Tate and CT talk about in the weight loss journey where the fat storage is at its most unattractive - even as it is less than it was a week or two ago.
The Christmas bloat is gone, training has been done, and the diet is off to a good start. Solid first week to build on. I’m happy.
I just want to give a big shout out to all of you that are stepping up to this challenge! Remember, quick fix strategies only provide short term results and we’re all in this for the long haul, right? Focus on sustainable changes and run with them!
I’m here for y’all if you’ve got diet/nutrition questions or just need some help fine tuning.
Game on, y’all!!
Hahaha mate it’s just good lighting. I looked like that for all of 5 seconds
Bull
The lovely South Dakota snow always makes training in your unheated garage gym fun. There’s nothing like lifting with a decently warm coat, a stocking cap, and light gloves while you try to keep your hands from freezing with your cold barbell. 5 inches so far and counting.
I got rechargeable hand warmers for Christmas a couple of years ago and LOVE them.
That said, I don’t know how you’d use them to lift.
The possibility of getting Uncrustables out of this was enough motivation to not enter! ![]()
In all seriousness, good luck everyone!
You defrost your hands between sets!
I got some for Christmas this year. I love them!
Like @anna_5588 said. Put them in your pockets to warm up between sets.
Just use a blowtorch to heat the bar between sets. Helps callus development.
On the rare mornings mine has been covered in ice I have used a hair dryer ![]()
Is it too late to join this?
Join us!
Weird?! Are you kidding me? My brother in Christ, the food in San Diego is some of the best I’ve ever had. The burritos are otherworldly, the street tacos addicting, and don’t even get me started on little Italy. I’ve lived in a decent number of places at this point, and visited plenty more, NOTHING has touched San Diego’s food game
Yeah, he has lived there a couple times and has all the favorites picked out.
I just thought it sounded weird to have a whole city like that, but as you know, after a 30 year career, I guess he can have a favorite city to eat. ![]()
My resolution for this training is to only upload pictures with a pump, ridiculous lighting and probably some tanning oil
