Ko, Rumbach, et al,
There might already be a recipe in the “Calling all chefs” thread…if so, let me know. But does anyone know of any good P+F recipes using tuna. I love my tuna, but eating it out of the can…just ain’t cutting it lately.
Tuna and butter.
Only thing I’ve found is mixing it with chili sauce…

haha, yeah…I didn’t think there were many options. I usually mix my tuna with olive oil and eat it that way. Does anyone know of any spices that go well with tuna?
olive oil and rice vinegar, throw in some white onions and or other veggies to add a little flavor. however, rice vinegar by itslef makes it taste great.
I read in a mag a long time ago about a Tuna Shake! It involved blending tuna with V-8 juice. I almost gagged when I read that!
Oh yeah, that would be a P+C!
To answer your question, I’ve found that cajun seasoning goes really well with tuna.
A bit off topic though, a great P+C meal is 1/2 cup rice, (2) 2/3 cup serv. mixed veggies, (2) six oz. cans of tuna.
Great meal. Oh and a shitload of the cajun seasoning too. However it would probably be pretty good with just the tuna and seasoning.
Curry, if not too much, it can be a really good flavor with tuna

Tuna+ Hot sauce. Tuna + Soy Sauce. Tuna + Teriyaki. Tuna + Mustard. Tuna + Tuna. I’ve tried them all.
I just shotgun a tablespoon of flax, and then have the tuna. To paraphrase something Jaytruly once told me: “Just eat it: don’t taste it.”

Tuna@hard boiled egg+Chopped Olives+Mayo = yum
I eat my tuna with the following chopped: onions, celery, pickles, black olives, hard boiled eggs, chilis, and plenty of ground pepper.
I dump a can of tuna into an oven-safe bowl, top with sliced cheese and grill untill melted. Nice.
A fair ammount of saturated fat, but what ya gonna do?
Tin of tuna, 1 1/2 tablespoons of lemon juice, fresh ground pepper.
I love a tuna salad. I take a mixture of red and green lettuces (no iceberg), cut up some red peppers, beets, and red onions then mix the whole thing with olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Then I drain a can of tuna and spread the whole thing over the top. It is very tasty and nutritious.
I have nothing of substance to add here, but I did want to say “God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater.”
At work: a little spicy brown mustard and a few drops of Tabasco.
At home: EVOO and a little balsamic vinegar.
Another favorite is Reese’s brand boneless, skinless sardines packed in olive oil. Heaven in a can.
Mix:
Various lettuce leafs
Onion or garlic
guacamole or avocado
flaxmeal
sesame seeds
chili flakes
jalepeno slices
rice or a light vinegar
tuna
various other attractive spices
This tuna salad rocks. You can substitute chicken for the tuna for a very good taste as well. Also, if the grill is working, grill some form of lean white fish, and throw it onto this salad steaming hot. I have eaten some variation of tuna + lettuce + flaxmeal + ??? for almost everyday for the last 7 months or so. Thow it together with a bunch of spices and see what happens. Also try this salad with pesto instead of guacamole, and go for an mediteranian feel. One more thing, try tuna and cinnamon. It’s kinda odd, but they go well together.
