Looking for specific weight training exercises to target the Trapezius muscles.
A recent issue of Iron Dog had a good trap program listed. Go check the previous issues. Also, in Don Alessi’s article “Booming Biceps,” he has a good upper back/trap program to help fix some weak spots.
There was a loooonnngggg thread about this a bunch of months ago. Everyone pretty much agreed that olympic lifts, deadlifts, shrugs & lots of other stuf is good for trap development. That can probably be generalized to include shrugs and ANYTHING where you lift a bar off the floor. Use a barbell, a dumbell, a kettlebell, 2 dumbells or 2 kettlebells to et variety.
JUMP SHRUGGS, bar none.
Deadlift. When your done, deadlift some more. Then follow that up with more deadlifts. Then start shrugging.
