Rack pull 6" below the knee
500x2 (PR reps +1)
Paid for it though - sumpin went spung in the back. Looks like I’m gonna be good for a comp in Feb though.

I thought that was an aggressive goal as well.

Please don’t misunderstand - I believe it can be done, just not by me. Best of luck to you in hitting that. Seriously.

thanks man, if i hit it i’ll be putting up a video of it. if not well i’ll post the closest i get to it.

It’s pretty simple, I just built it in Excel using a flat file format and some pivot tables, I’ve added a few calculations to calculate theoretical maxes and compare with real maxes, and then show as a percentage of bodyweight.
I’m thinking of switching it to Access to make it a bit more flexible and writing a front end for it with reporting. Just something to do on long boring conference calls really. And to anyone walking past my office it looks like work.
I can send it to anyone who is interested as long as you promise not to laugh at my puny PRs.

I’ve switched out ME squats for more RE work until after my next comp. tonight i decided to do some reps with 585. the first two reps felt very strong and i figured i had about 6 or so in me but after the third rep, i literally couldn’t inhale at all.
I barely got the bar back to the rack before i started to blackout. i figure it has to do with the low bar position. it’s normally not an issue becuase i usually keep the reps low once i get to this weight. i guess i’m going to have to experiment with bar position to be able to do reps in this weight range.
here’s the vid.
Every rep looked solid.
How’s that rib doing?

At 16 and reasonably new to lifting you should make big gains pretty quickly due to learning to activate more of your muscle fibres. Also your body is in full on growing stage which helps.
5kg per week will seem like easy jumps for a while, just don’t be disheartened when it starts to get harder to keep adding 5 each week. Good luck with it!

In my world there are no puny PRs. Each one is won through hard work and persistence. It ain’t the number that counts - what counts is attempting to lift more than you did before.
I’d be glad to see it. I’ll PM you my email address.
cool

Only if you promise the same ;-). I also want to take alook as I have been thinking of writing up something myself…but finding the time is not easy for me.

How big a jump have you made recently??
The gap from 50kg to 100kg is TOTALLY different than the gap from 100kg to 150kg like…

here is a goal i set myself last january when i was looking for something a bit different. half bodyweight military press (88lbs) with a kettlebell. a bit shakey but will be smoother next time.actually did the lift in september on my birthday.
apologies for the 90 degree angle on the video.
No small feat, that. Nice work![/quote]
thanks man. required a lot of patience and a lot of presses!
starting PR last january was 44lb for 6reps.

ive been going up about 5kg everyweek for the last 4 weeks.
Hit an important raw bench milestone for me the other day… 305 for a triple. I’ve hit 350 for a single more than once but for some reason it took me a long time to crack 300 for a triple. I’m switching to floor presses for my heavy lifts for a few weeks, then I’m gunning for a triple at three plates once I get back to flat bench.
I hit 305 for a raw single at 180, 17 y.o, heres the vid:
hopefully i’ll be taking squat and deadlift vids soon, thats what needs the most work as far as form goes.
I also have a deadlift vid in my profile… its just not up on youtube.
I finally have a few videos to add.
Had a meet Saturday and had a much better day than expected.
My squats went 405, 425, 450. Looking back I should have made bigger jumps. I feel like I left about 25 pounds on the platform.
This is my third attempt, 450.
Deadlifts went 495, 525, 545, and a fourth at 570.
I was lifting in the 181’s.
This is 545.
