Yesterday:
Bench: 275 x 9 (previous best 275 x 8)
DL: 365 x 8 (previous best 365 x 7)
hit two PR’s today.
reverse band deadlift- 825x1

Pulled 250kg/550lb today for the first time for a 7.5kg/16.5lb PR

congratulations. thats a great lift.
what class were you in and what did you bench/squat?
Cheers, I compete in the 100kg/220lbs U23
Got 195kg/429lbs in the squat and benched 135kg/297lbs
Hit a 585 sumo pull yesterday. 10 lb PR from last month, 20 lb total PR in the last 2 months after being completely stuck for 3 years. Pulling infrequently is really agreeing with me, and my 3 year old goal of a 600 deadlift is finally within reach.

good job on 6 plates, that’s my current goal.
Benched 325 (+10 pr) yesterday. Then I just missed 335. I got it up about 3 inches and it just stayed there for about 4 seconds before it went down.
Last week I pulled 365 (+10 pr). Yeah I know.
Unfortunately my squat has been getting worse and I can’t figure out why…

Nice job as always. If you’ve answered this I apologize, I just have not seen it.
You seem to take alot of time before the lift, during setup, etc. Are you visualizing the lift or is there something specific you run through each time. Seems to work for you so I figured it was worth asking. TIA.
Monopoly
Participating in a study and got 4 PRs today.
Power Clean - 2215
Sumo DL - 4197
Backward Lunge - 195*14
These are all baseline as I haven’t done these lifts in this context (higher reps).
Squat - 385*8 (+20lb PR)
This is the only one I feel I can brag about. Just got done with the Smolov base and anyone who has done it knows that it pushes the intensity on higher rep ranges (9’s and 7’s). This was done beltless.

thanks hoss!!!
i have a whole range of rituals that i go through before a big lift. there are things i say, do and also visualize. the longer i’m at this game, the longer the build up is. it’s probably always best to skip the first minute or so of one of my videos:)
2009-7-7
Front Squat
270x1x3 (PR weight +5 lbs)
Frogleg Sumo rack pull from mid shin and wearing a frilly dress
435x1 Baseline PR
Frogleg because I have friggin’ long pins. Sumos are super tough for me - my leverage is sooo bad.
