this wasn’t a PR but i’m very happy with my bar speed with 405. i was really tempted to rep this set out but i’ve learned to stick with the program.
bench full ROM 405x5
speed bench against bands- this was a 20lb PR from last week. i’m happy with the bar speed on these. i’ll take a week off and move up to 315 for the last week of the bench cycle.
speed bench against minibands 295x3x4
rolling dumbell extensions- this is an awesome variation. it gives a great stretch and takes a lot of the stress off the elbows
95’s x 6 - +10lb weight PR
time to go take some antibiotics…

I got greedy and tried 230 . couldnt even crack it off the pins . next time .
660lb reverse band deadlift, I locked it out, but dropped it on the grip.

they are. this variation is awesome. i can’t feel it at all in my elbows.
180 kg x 6 (+1 rep) Back Squat
squat is comming back nicely. tonight hit 615 for an easy single. in the past i would have kept jumping until i failed. I’ve turned over a new leaf and am sticking to the plan. i’ll keep adding 10lbs to my back squat until i’m back to my previous numbers. my conservative goals for the SPF Worlds is to hit 650 on my second attempt. I’m pretty confident that i have that right now.

55 lb bells on the incline bench for 10 reps .
I havent done these for so long ; last time I did them I think I topped out at 35 or 40’s . I got plenty more than the 55’s in me , but I struggle gettin’ them up to pressing position . gotta work on that .
and 1 more lame PR from a couple weeks ago…
this old dude refered to me as “one of those weight-lifters” as I was walking thru the hall after lifting…haha , thats a first
