Has to be a rep PR. I can’t remember the last time I even pulled for more than 5 reps.

That’s ridiculous. Do you know your 1RM?[/quote]
Thanks KBC.
I have no idea. I pulled 590 6 or 7 weeks ago in a suit and it went up pretty easy. I would like to think 625 but really don’t know. The next comp I’m going into has 600lbs for max reps on an axle in 60 seconds, so that’s what I’ll be working towards. Hopefully I can pull at least 5 in that time.

Just to pis meat off and make sure I try and stay ahead of him I went and pulled a 9lb PR this weekend My second 700 and over DL got 709lbs. Its was a grind but I got it. Opened with an easy 650 and then did the 709 and needles to say didnt try a third I was smoked.
I am the last lifter on the video I put together. It was a great day all around for us.

Zercher lift from Pins
345x2 (PR +1 rep)
365x1 (PR +10lbs)
385x1 (PR +30lbs)
Felt really crummy today. Surprised by the PR’s altogether. Got the 365 and was really excited and then a little voice said, “Try for 375…no 385.” And then that went up.
Excellent day. I don’t get 30 lb PRs all that often.
hit a decent rep PR tonight on the 3 board. i think i was good for a couple more but the board moved on the fifth rep. you can hear me ask to have it moved. at that point i flattened out and muscled up one more
3 board bench press - 495 x 6 +1 rep PR

Great job Phil. 709 is huge!
My gym might be holding a bench competition…if it goes ahead il post my vid here.
I had an accidental Bench PR yesterday during training and didn’t realize it until today.
Bench (first rep paused):
355x2 (PR +10lbs)
I actually had to do 3 sets of 355x2, and never thought to look to see if it was PR worthy. Happy accident!

You know you’re getting too strong too fast when you think PR’s aren’t PR worthy!!

You have a very unorthodox deadlifting technique. Great pull.

Yhea its a bit unique and I just started doing it a few months ago. I am naturally strong as a conventional puller the only prob being my left leg was torn pretty much completely off as a child and reattahced and it face about 45 degrees out so it made me take a much wider grip on the bar to get away fro the knee, so I simply then have moved my feet out about 2 inches and taken an inside grip to get around that. Seems to work, My best conventional was 680 in a meet last year. They are close but Im abit stronger in this new style I still train most days with he conventional to really nail the low back and hams hard.

Interesting adjustment. Glad it’s working for you.

Just a little unexpected that’s all. ![]()
Considering I haven’t really trained Bench much, I was hoping just to maintain it while doing Smolov. Any real PR’s will be a big bonus.

Christopher is my first name. Not many people call me that. I use it for my sponsorship but that’s about it. I go by my middle name- Scott.
