Thanks Hanley. I don’t think these PR’s are nearly as impressive as the weights you and others move around as a matter of course.
I think I’m near the end of hitting PR’s every session. This was the 5-3-1 wave, 2nd time around so far. Next wave is a deload one. I’m getting into weight PR territory next few cycles and those will come harder if’n I doesn’t get some more meat on my bones…
455x1 deadlift +30 it was awesome first time pulling from floor in a month or two
5/16/09. it was a really good day ![]()
flat db bench; 135x5, 150x4. I think both are PR’s, the 150 is without a doubt. 170’s are next!

Do you use a crane to get those in place?! My last gym only went up to 100’s. I’m not sure I’ve even seen 170’s. Nice work.

Lol. Ya, they are heavy. I’ll pick one up and then someone hands me the other. They are sweet dumbbells, somehow the owner got the old Denver Bronco’s heavy set so they are orange and blue. I’ll have to try and take a picture of them.
I got one… finally…
Pulled 430 x10.
Not great when you consider I’ve done 515x5, but I HATE pulling reps, which probabaly means I should do it more. My erectors are in shreads today!

There’s one! Nice going Hanley.
haven’t had any PR’s in awhile since the chest injury. I’m finally all healed up and within a month i should be back to where i was and moving back into regulare PR’s again.
anyway, here’s a PR from last night.
incline dumbell extensions- paused 85’s x 6
I just managed to (partial) deadlift 7 plates per side from just below my knees, 300kg or 660lbs with straps and a shitty BBing belt.
Don’t have a vid, but I have a vid on here of me pulling 605 from the floor so it’s not that outlandish.
Now if only I could squat 5 plates per side…lol.

2nd wave, 5 day!
Going for 125kg on the bench tonight, 275 like. Hoping to get to double figures. Gonna be majorly pissed if I don’t crack at least 8.

Squat:
600x1 (PR +15lbs)
620x1 (PR +35lbs)
that was an awesome squat bro. the way you grinded it out shows all the hard work you’ve put in. most people’s form would have broken down and they would’ve missed it.
damn… you’ve come a long way.

Thanks Meat.
I’m sure you remember how bad I used to chicken wing it. Thanks for all the pointers along the way, I owe a lot of my technique to your tips.

Nice work, Modi! A little more recovery and it’ll probably be even higher.
Here’s one I hit today. This is the first time since 1999 that I’ve hit a true solid powerclean at this weight. 150kg.
Not an all-time PR, but one for the year. 170kg.
