Nicely done, Diana! I try to walk out: left-right-wiggle as necessary. I’ve been practicing checking my feet before I lock my knees in my setup so I am sure I am square. I know when I’ve done heavier attempts (esp. when the weight is heavy on walkout), I feel like I need more steps because I’m scared of lifting my feet up high!

Hahaha, I did those tonight! Good times…

Check it on Hanley’s post, not on mine. The quote function messes up links.

285 DL tonight, but I only have the squat video.
Pretty happy about both lifts. I also realized that I am walking the damn bar out 4 or 5 steps and I will work on fixing this.

Solid squat!!

Can I just suggest something…??

Look where the bar and your shoulders are relative to your hips, knees and feet on the take out. They’re way ahead. The problem this creates (and that you can see in the vid) is that right from the start of the lift it’s trying to pull you forward. Looked like you even struggled to get it off the rack as a result. And then when you did get into position your chest had caved as a result.

You’re obviuosly using a light enough weight for you to get away with it, but as you get closer to absolute maxes it WILL kill you.

I like that, left, right, wiggle. Thanks! I’ve got one more session in the suit and I am going to practice walk-outs big time.

Yep, I had a problem unracking the weight, I went up on my toes the first try. I totally see what you mean, I did not feel like I had the bar in a good solid position on my back either. It felt too high. Thanks for noticing that, I will work on getting solid under the bar and better aligning my body under the weight.
And BTW, you can make suggestions anytime!

Nicely done Diana.

Rackpulled 725lbs from the knees without a belt yesterday.

I’m dieting at the moment though… So I’m hoping for 800lbs once I start focusing on strength this summer.

Now if only my weak-ass bench would progress like this…

Try setting your feet under the bar before you get under it. Then when you unrack, take a deep breath and push your hips forward to break it off the hooks.

upped the reverse band box squats by 90lbs this week.

reverse band box squat- 675x3

This is awfully whorey of me cos I’m posting it everywhere, but I’m pretty stoked;

275kg second set of 3; Squat - 275kg x3 - YouTube
275kg x2 - final set; Squat - 275kg x2 - YouTube

No wraps, straps down and suit slippers still on.

Absoutely KILLS my old PR coming into this cycle of 245kg x2 in full gear with my straps up.

Depth’s still a bit away, but it’s getting there.

And check out how good it is to have good spotters. They just KNOW when to take it. Even the smallest change in form and their in. I’m lucky to have guys like that around.

Hit 415x3 for conventional deads last week, then rack pulled it for 3x3.

415x1 was my previous PR, i hope to add 5lbs per week on triples + 3x3 rack pulls with the same weight for another 3 or 4 weeks before I switch to squats on heavy days and light pulling on light days.

happiness is sitting in a hot tub soaking with a pint of ben and jerry’s after a powerlifting meet.

2 reds on that pull was a bit harsh.

Nice work. Why did you leave the suit slippers on?

I finally hit 4 plates on deadlift, sort of. Anyway this 405lbs is a 20lbs PR. From reading meat’s “cheating” article and following the “Pricilla (sp?) thread”, I’ve realized I need to get my stance out wider. I could easily take 2" off my ROM. In the attached video, the inside of my foot is roughly on the rings.

My deadlift still has a long way to go, but this was a mental barrier previously…200kgs is my next target!
