i really wish i had a vid of it. i was doing floor press. i was going for a triple with 455. i guess on each rep i was sliding back a little. i tapped the hooks on the second rep and on the third as i was pushing the weight back over my face i hit the uprights really hard and the weight was pushed out of my hands.

it fell from arm’s length, took a good bounce off my chest and came down again. actually feel pretty good today. i’ll be pull’n on thursday.

damn suicide grip… do you think i’ll stop using it??

nope.

You know you’re big when you can drop a floor press and it actually hits your chest. You’re a thick mofo. At least it wasn’t on the flat bench though. Probably would have done a lot more damage.

Glad you’re none the worse for wear.

thanks hoss!! i’m pretty thick but our platform is elevated. people always comment on my floor press that the bar touches my chest at bottom though…t-rex arms.

First, boo on the no video of the drop.

Second, awesome lifts.

Third, I met your twin in the gym the other day. Goatee, skull cap, clothes, elbow sleeves, everything. When he asked me to hand him the 130 pound DBs for incline press, I even asked him.

If I see him again I’ll get a picture.

he must be a sexy beast!!

Beast, yes, but I’m not a very good judge of man sexy.[/quote]

come on bro… it’s not gay unless you make eye contact.

HAH! I’m not afraid to make the judgment, it’s just that, according to the girls I know, I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Flat bench raw 330x1 paused.

And to think that it’s only the beginning for you…

485 lbs deadlift…165 bodyweight…

Sumo is cheating.

j/k

Strong pull, there’s more in the tank.

Deadlift
455x3

Feeling pretty beat up on this one, which is a good sign for the competition. If I can do this feeling beat up I’ll probably have more in the tank after my recovery week…

What do you think?

Floor press 400x3 reps.I then attemped 440 just could’nt lock out my right arm.I’ll get it soon tho.

Reverse band deads from a 3 inch deficit. 565x2

It was fast too. My speed and lockout are finally getting decent.

Why do you do reverse band pulls from a deficit?

To build speed through my sticking points and work on my lockout.

hit a couple PR’s tonight which suprised me considering the 455Lb drop on the chest last week. tonight i worked up to my opener and possible second attempt for my comp next weekend. i also set a rep PR on incline dumbell presses.

opener- 460x1

possible second attempt-500x1

incline dumbell press-neutral grip 140’s x 15 + 3 rep PR
