that’s one of the reasons that i started this thread. i find it funny that some of this site’s “experts” never post any of their actual training. And if they have any pictures of themselves they are in some super secret place where only the select few get to see them.

Hey guys.
I was at 215 a month or so ago and started bulking (600g carbs per day) for my strongman comp where I will be competing in the 231lbs category. Currently sitting at 223 lbs and doing the Weider 5/3/1.
Several PR’s the past week:
505 lbs DL
440 lbs Squat
220 lbs C&J x 5
704 lbs X 2 Rack Pull (Just above Knee)
All done RAW. (Just a belt)
EDIT: Wendler 5/3/1. Not Weider. Excuse the general inability to remember/not confuse names.
I’m currently deciding about what to do with my training, waiting til post physio next week to make a decision, so today I did Thib’s reality show circuit as I did it quite regularly last year. Started on the same weights/reps/exercises as in sept and compared where i finished (same rest periods).
Sept: Bench: 205x3, Hang clean 135x4, Push Press: 150x4 (failed on 160), Snatch Grip DL: 225x1
Today: Bench: 215x2, Hang Clean: 150x3, Push Press: 160x2, Snatch Grip DL: 235x4
Not huge numbers, but they are in a circuit and I was pretty pleased with the improvement, bearing in mind my training hasn’t been geared towards this workout!

i really wish i had a vid of it. i was doing floor press. i was going for a triple with 455. i guess on each rep i was sliding back a little. i tapped the hooks on the second rep and on the third as i was pushing the weight back over my face i hit the uprights really hard and the weight was pushed out of my hands.
it fell from arm’s length, took a good bounce off my chest and came down again. actually feel pretty good today. i’ll be pull’n on thursday.
