Monday was my 1 year anniversary from dislocating my hip. I squatted 525 in my single ply Centurion with the straps down. That is not a PR but it was a big deal for me after surgery, 9 months of rehab, and a fuck ton of pain. But, I’m gonna need to get the squat up over 600 for my meet in Feb. I’ll get video of the squat up soon.

Yesterday I set two bench PRs. The first was a single with 545 off a 3 board. I tried 565 next and stalled about 1.5" off the boards. Next time. My training partner also hit a PR with 585 off the 3 board. It was only his fourth shirt workout ever. He is going to be a 600# bencher really, really soon. We both wear a single ply F6.

The second bench PR was a 225 rep test after all the shirt work. I got it for 29, which is 3 better than my previous best. 225 felt like paper after holding 565. My partner got 37 or 38, I can’t remember which.

No video for the bench work this time.[/quote]

Here’s the squat vid from 1/12: - YouTube

This Monday I hit 555 with the straps up and light wraps. This was the first time I ever used wraps. Earlier in the same workout I missed 505 because my stance was off. Weird. It’s a good thing I have good partners to save my ass from getting buried in the hole.

I have been out of heavy lifting since Septemeber due to a shoulder injury. I have just started dipping my toe back into the water so to speak, and things are going well.

I did 365lb’s last night on bench pretty easy, and earlier this week, I took 585lb’s on squat for a ride. I didn’t film the squat because some cheese dick stole my digital camera!:frowning:

I need to go a bit lower on my squat for it to count, but more work on it, and it will be a PR.

I was pretty stoked to do 225 on incline yesterday for a set of 3 … tried for the forth but my spotter decided he’d rather have me spot his 225 row rather than him spot my 225 incline … regardless I got 3 which I was surprised at … so I have THAT going for me

deadlift 405x2, plus one rep

Last night’s bench workout consisted of 4 board presses with a narrow (pinkies on rings) grip. Got 515 for 4. Training partner got 545 for 4.

After finishing with assistance stuff we hit Chipotle for PWO nutrition and headed home. I jumped on the scale and it told me that I now put 248 lbs of pressure on the floor boards when I walk.

Holy shit, I guess I’m not going to make it down to 220 for my February meet. I’ll actually have to cut to lift in the 242s. No wonder I’ve been getting stronger.

Couple of PR’s this week…

Pulled 515x4

Squatted 460x5

Both done in just a belt.

benched 225 for the first time today.

Reverse Band presses (used the purple band) -300lbsx1. - LOVE THIS MOVEMENT!!!

Deadlift 380x1 15lb PR

Was real happy about this one. I grinded it out, but it was clean.

incline close grip (second movement)
165x8 (pr +10 pounds)

Squatted 320 X 4 ATG today- it was big for me, my previous PR was 315 X 2 to legal depth, but it just felt great today, so i went for it, paused at bottom.

also, i was wearing my new TK knee sleeves, which i don’t think have any carryover, or if any it’s really negligible. certainly a confidence booster

i’m pretty stoked, it’s one of those moments when i feel like i’ve reached a new confidence/strength level! now to eat a lot of food…

Hey Meat… good idea (as per usual) with this thread!

545 deadlift yesterday… with just a belt and my Chuck Taylors baaaabbbeeeyyy! 30 lb PR!

14" box squat stop and go, equipped

405x1

DL 315 x 12

Squats
335x5 (PR reps +2)

Racking the bar well on my back. I’m good for more once this chest gunk is gone.

I finally squatted 315 with just a belt. This has been a goal of mine for a while. I don’t normally get too crazy after a lift, but I was happy as hell after this. The squat rack curler nexy to me stared the rest of the time I was there(YMCA). I don’t think he knew that it was used for squats. I will try to get some videos soon.

not a PR but i’m closing in on one. 495 or 500 will be my second attempt at my next comp.

i took a heavy single tonight with 495 paused.
