its because u were in jeans and a long sleeve green shirt… o yeh good job!
45’s soon!
haven’t posted much lately so i thought i would put up a couple vids of today’s training. i was experimenting with deficit pulls today. here’s a vid where i used 35lb plates to get the bar lower to the floor as well as standing on 25lb plates. i placed the plates so that my toes were hanging off the front. it forced me to pull my toes up and put the weight on my heels. the bar was sitting on top of my shoes. i videoed it to see if i could get my 294lb self into a semi decent position. i almost lost my balance on the first rep but the next two were fine.
the second vid is of some dumbell presses. i haven’t done any direct shoulder work in awhile. they felt pretty light so i paused all the reps.

You looked wicked strong on the DB presses. “Felt light” huh? LOL, I look forward to the day that 130# DBs feel light.
not a pr but havent done regular deads since summer…
back to my old pr in one session
405x1, should hit 5 plates in a few months if that
It may not be close to the numbers most of you guys are posting, but I was quite excited.
Finally benched 200x1, paused, raw. Weighed myself before the workout at 162lbs. I have been lifting since july 08. Now onto 300!

thanks bro. somethings gotta feel light every once in awhile.
225x2 Rows(been wanting to hit 2 plates for a while) previouse best was 215.
tonight was a good night. no PR’s but i’m definitely on the verge of some huge ones. I typically warmup to 405 and then start my working sets on bench at 455. i hit 455 for 2 very easy reps. i decided to stop and hit 495. i hit that for a very easy 1 rep. next week i’m going to try 455 for 4 or 5 reps.
here are the vids of my whoredom.

I’m not a video type guy, and I’m new. Last Feb I set one true PR (Benched 350) and one pseudo PR (Deadlifted 500). I benched 350 shirted and sumoed 500 in my 20’s. I deadlifted 505 in a meet last July, I was impressed b/c it was outdoors, hot and I started to dehydrate.
Definitely not record breaking but not bad for a dude in his 40’s, with an arthritic knee, and took the last 10 years off of serious training to start a career and family.
I feel like I am will set new PR’s b/c I have been following a Sheiko routine, second time, and my lifts are becoming easier.
Not a true Pr of sorts, but kind of felt like one tonight. Squatted 315 for a single in a suit, straps down, knee wraps and belt. This just 10 days after semi major surgery…now to see how bench goes.

Like anyone can consider any surgery minor.
Good job Firebug9
I hit a couple new-for-the-year PR’s tonight (you’ll start to take a PR any way you can when you start to feel Father Time catching up to you) starting with a 105kg Power Snatch and a 135kg Power Clean&Jerk, with another PR there with a 140kg lift. Here’s an attempt at showing the 135kg lift…
Sunday, Jan 4th, i squatted 315 rock bottom for 2 clean reps in good form… no video though.
got a question for anyone out there- under armour compression shorts- does that count as gear? i wore a pair to squat for the first time and 315 felt, in a sense, easier than i thought it would, or i was having a pretty good day.
shooting to DL conventional 405 in a month, squat 355 single, with belt. bodyweight is 169.

Nice lift. I dig the t-shirt too.
