Nice work Alex!
Did you not touch the ground in those though? I’m NOT questioning your strength but I’m just curious.
You might benefit from getting a closer grip/stance too. At my first meet I pulled 475 and had a very wide grip/stance, then about 2 weeks later I narrowed it a bunch and pulled 500.
Just a thought. Good luck!
I did touch the ground on those reps. You might be able to hear it a couple of times LOL. I do pull wide but that is because I prefer my setup to be almost the same as my squat stance. I tried sumo and just don’t feel right.[/quote]
Yeah I don’t like Sumo either, tall guys and Sumo doesn’t always add up.
It might be a break in tradition for you; but give a narrow stance a try…I was surprised the first time I did that stance with some heavy weight…it went up fast and I pulled a ton more. Yet another thought…
Man I can’t wait to pull on Friday; fueled by turkey…

It was at ACS Fitness in Abington, MA.
bench pr:
6 singles at 265, should i do two more and then move up to 275 or do u think 6 at over 90% is great enough?
Grabbed a 315 squat today, felt absolutely great to just crank it out. 10lb pr from my last test 3 weeks ago, which totals to 40 lbs in a month. Finally feel like i’m starting to get the form down and everything, i’ll hafta upload a vid so it can get critiqued.
185x10 close grip press, PR +4 reps
105x10 standing miltary pr +4 reps, this is coming along nicely and although its week ill take it for my long ass limbs

Hit a couple of Raw PR’s this weekend at my meet:
525 Squat (PR +23lbs)
365 Bench (Tie PR)
610 DL (PR +5lbs)
1500 Total (PR +39lbs)
Shit man that’s awesome going. Seriously well done.
THe squat looked mega solid. Bench is a thing of beauty to watch and I thought you were good for WAY more on the deadlift til it got about 3 inches from lockout!!
Beltless on the DL too?? Nice…
285x1 parrallel squat, first time doing these since injury and without a box XD should be back at three plates soon
2 board manpon press
275 3x3 (weight PR +10)
Close grip bench press 352x2 easy reps.400 x 1 by the years end i hope
wow, nice jrepp
405 x6 on deadlifts, squats and deads are going up nicely still, but i think its sapping all my recovery away from upper body haha
i also cleaned 265 for the first time recently (waiting on friend for video)

You may have something there. I had to put some distance between lower body and my bench day in order to get my bench moving again.

Thanks Hanley. Beltless on DL because I suck at using the belt. I trained with a belt for the past 6 months and couldn’t master it. It gave me 50+lbs on a rack pull, but killed me off the floor.
225x10 barbell row, loose form (+40 pounds)
135x15 (+5 reps) strict ass from as my last set
260x5 for bench today, a 10 lb Pr from the last time i tried a five set.
not nearly as impressive as 352x2 though, holy shit nice lifts!
glute ham raise +25 x 7 15lb PR
cable abs 110x2x8 10lb PR
