I’m hoping for 5 plates x5 next time I wrap up, which should be before the year is out.

Did I say before the year is out?? Because I meant before the week is out…

220kg x5

140kg x20 (for good measure)

Hanley’s our new sandbagging PR whore.

Nice work, Hanley,

maraundermeat, i believe it was you that stated using pin presses or sqauts, and just pushing as hard as u c an until the weight moved, ive been using that its actually sick, just 3x3 and i want to lay down and sleep! thanks for the tip, also its fun to use alot of weight

10 lb Squat PR and 10 lb DL PR.
I qualified for the Nationals YAY!
(nevermind the sloppy wraps, I was rushed because I wasn’t sure it was my turn)

Way to go! Tight wraps would’ve made that squat EASY.

yeah… i really like the pin presses and rack lockouts. it really teaches you to strain. a lot of people don’t learn the to strain and they give up on a lift when they might actually get it if they just took their time and strained against it.

ok, this building up of hanley has gone far enough. it’s got to stop before the little guy gets a swollen head

Lol i was just using him as a an example because he uses youtube a lot.

Ah be quiet. You’re just upset I’m almost as fat as you now!

put the wraps and belt on today. Wasn’t feeling 100% but I did squat 465 for a single.

Also romanian deadlifts 405x5

edit:

How tight should the wraps be? Should I be stretching them while wrapping?

Moosejaw or bust!

I’m so pleased for you. Maybe we can sell chocolate almonds together to raise money for the trip.

You need an equipment boy to help with the wraps. Maybe we can share ours in Niagara. He’s very good.

My wraps are tight enough to bruise and make me feel claustrophobic. Stretch while wrapping.

DB Floor Press
105’s x4,5,5 (PR Sets at these reps)

Speed Dips
BW+10x30 (PR Weight)

went too light on the press…

nailed a 415 DL today, which is a 20 lb. pr.
dont have a video, but i’ll make sure to take one next time i go for a max.
felt freaking amazing.

The first time over 400 is a big charge.

And then it becomes warmup weight - which has longer lasting satisfaction for some reason.

Good job CBar29!

220kg/495lb x5 deadlift today.

I’m sure some of you will be glad to see how badly that sucks!!

Are those straps?!

BLASPHEMER! REAL MEN DON’T USE STRAPS! THAT’S NOT A REAL DEADLIFT! LOSE THE STRAPS! They make your grip weak and your penis small!

In all seriousness nice lifts. I’ll donate some of my deadlift to you, if you can spare some of your squat to me.

I did a cluster set on bench today (do a rep, rest 10-15 secs, go again), got 335x7 all paused so that was a PR for me, have only tried clusters a few times (got the idea from CT). No video though. Might be trying a heavier deadlift set (with video) in a few days.

Hanley nice squats.

new bench program: wednesday: max effort using 8 singles with 1 min rest in btw sets at about90$ plus of my max
saturday: DE

today: BASELINE: 265x1,1,1,1,1 255x1,1 245x1

this felt real nice, never done more than 2 reps with 265, goal is to get all eight with 265 which i think i can do next week then move up to 275 and work till i have all eight of those and so on depending on fast i progress i might change it or not, im going to lower my assistance volume on this day but make it huge on the DE day instead of having 2 ME days
