Training Personal Records - Part 2

highlight from tonight- reverse grip bench 510x1 +10lb PR. set up a little too close to the uprights and hit the right side one. luckily i was able to still lock it out.

Well doctors said today I could of died if I hadn’t come in to see them today. Apparently I have accute pneumonia and a respiratory infection. And what did I just do after getting two shots, 45 minutes on a ventilator for breathing treatment, and 4 prescriptions later? At the gym tearin it up, hit a 30 lb PR on bench: 255 for 6. Fuck you pneumonia.

I dunno dude… might be better to rest. Pneumonia is nothing to mess with because it could have the last laugh.

Doubled a 525 dead today; small PR but it’s something.

… So new goal is to have my regular bench be less than 100lbs under Meats’ reverse grip… That 510 is absolutely absurd sir way to go.

Not as bad as pneumonia but I’m sick and didn’t get any sleep last night because of it, still got a +2 rep PR on DL tonight. Last day of my 5/3/1 cycle and traveling the next 3 days so I really wanted to finish the 3rd week. In the past every time I’m sick and take it easy it doesn’t seem to help at all, I rest all day and still feel worse the next in some cases.

I’ve recently started doing 5/3/1. Just finished week 2 on Squats - “3+” week.

Got 475 x 11 Free Squat with Pro briefs.

Very light touch to box to keep myself honest as the reps progressed.

Now my 1rm estimator reads 642 which is cool cause I’ve done 655 with my Ace suit last Spring so I’m getting stronger, which is always cool.

Not sure if this is a PR or not 'cause I’ve never really done a lot of deads and don’t remember how heavy I’ve gone. But, I feel like I’m naturally pretty good at these and have my eyes set on 500+ weighing -185. Any and all critiques welcome.

My bad. Got to rambling and forgot to post the weight. Yeah, it’s 425.

Again, don’t know if this is a PR, I’d just like some critiques on my form.

I tried to focus on staying upright, really sitting back, keeping my knees spread, etc…

If anyone sees anything wrong here, holler.

615X2
Deadlift
Absolutely horrendous knurling on the bar, felt like shit, went surprisingly well, 2 weeks left of Coan hoping for 2 more PR’s.

Whats the diameter on those plates?

The Ithaca College circle plates are abnormally short and wide so they make the bumpers look very high, the bumpers are about a half inch higher than regular Olympic plates, the Ithaca College ones are about an inch shorter. I haven’t measured, that’s just an educated guess but I think I’ll measure them next time I am in the gym just to know.

100kg push press @ 80kg bodyweight. never did them at the beginning of a workout so i might have 5kg more in me. nevertheless: f#ck yeah!

I benched 325x1 today. I got 315 too before it, which I have missed many, many times over the past 6 months, so this was a big PR and huge motivational boost for me. Video sucks though.

Dude, that flew up. You have 335 in you fa sho.

Pulled 460(10PR) with a 2.5" deficit
Happy with this since I pulled 465 in a meet at the end of the summer.

front-sq 130x3 finally!

Squat w/ belt, 375x3 +10lb PR

Compared to a 385 Squat single i have from 8/11/10:

Deeper and more awesome IMO

edit: also, note that its 8:00PM in the video and theres no one in sight. theres a lot of people there but none in the back room where heavy lifting goes on. its great
