Too Much Whining at T-Nation!

Hmmm, he WAS just talking about that ‘gay man’s look’ in the eyes of a homosexual in the Tiki Barber thread…

Yeah, now that I look at it more closely with only two subsequent posts maybe you’re not the best example. I think it was the conglomeration of all posts, both initial and responses (mine included), that irked me in a big way for some reason. That whole grouping of responses seemed like a T-free zone, something I’m seeing more and more of.

I’d better shut up before I lose anymore of my T.

Sorry for singling you out, Jillybop.

For all the reasons I have already stated, the article really irked me, too. Having my points never addressed and simply being called a whiner with low self-esteem just made it worse. Then to be called out in the forums and falsely labeled a whining loser lacking rational, reasonable argument has me pretty fucking pissed.

So excuse me if I don’t immediately accept your apology.

Keep in mind the people bitching you out are fifteen year old punkass guys with midget brains.

Seriously though, you have every right to be pissed…

Personally, I think Professor X’s newbie advice is spot on. To many young waste to much time reading as opposed to lifting and eating. It might be an oversimplification, but there are lessons to be learned under the bar.

I do find Tiki Barber to be an attractive man.

Great Post. I totally agree.

What a suck ass. Ever have a thought of your own, or do you just agree all the time? Do you even know what your agreeing to?

I’m sorry. Did I forget to whine in my post?

I was going to defend Jillybop but I felt Professor X covered it.

I know exactly what they are talking about. I have read Professor x’s comments to newbies and have been following the female training thread.

Articles are naturally going to spark debate. I, for one, would not want to read an article that everyone agrees with.

The problem I see with T-Nation is that there seems to bee more of a bobble-head syndrome than a whiny bitch syndrome. There are way too many lemmings here.

What the hell ever happened to having an independent thought?

I think it is just a little more than childish to start yet another “what’s with all the whining?” thread to single people out.

Fact is, you missed the boat and called out the wrong person. In fact you made a point of naming Jillybop by name. That is just petty bullshit.

I know I am guilty of pinning my ears back and going after someone - but at least I have the fucking balls to name names and stand toe to toe with them. I don’t have to start a thread about it.

The only whiny spoiled brat I see here is you and those that think like you do.

And that is bad for T-Nation.

I have reviewed the proceeding post carefully and can safely say it contained no whine. As such, the author has presented valid points and poignant questions to the author of the original article, one Chad Waterbury.

Having done so, and having not received a response from the author, the poster, Jillybop, has proven once again that intelligent, well thought out posts have absolutely no place on this site.

Please resume your posts of “you suck,” “I’d hit it,” and “TSB.”
Thank you.

Thank you[/quote]

You’re welcome. Did you ever get the response you were looking for? If not, it’s a damn shame. Authors, especially on this site, should be responsive to intelligent questions when posed, and not just to posts that say, “Just what I needed,” or “Great article, this needed to be said.”

oh, and I’d hit it.

While I can’t say that I agree with Prof X’s style, what you’re saying is true. As a relative newbie (relative meaning I’ve been lifting a while but only recently figured out what the hell I’m doing), I can say from experience that I lot of guys and girls who are new to the “game” think that there just has to be some sort of magic to it.

It can’t possibly be as simple as eat - lift - grow! They are looking for a detailed, step-by-step guide to their specific goal, and a lot of times are too intimidated by the task ahead of them to think things through clearly.

Like I said, I’m only now, within the last six weeks, starting to figure out what my body responds to in a positive way.

Anyhow, I’m not saying that there is a justification for whining. I’m just offering, perhaps, a little insight into the newbie point of view.

Given the same content, it’s all in the delivery.

Yes, I see that now. I do apologize and will try my damndest to not make the same mistake again.

All I need to say is you started a thread about “TOO MUCH WHINING AT T-Nation”

Hypocrite

I guess that’s all that needs to be said on that issue.

bkgallo wrote on TC’s thread in the Author’s Locker Room:

That Sexy Female Training article really hit a nerve among the female audience. Maybe because the topic regarded the ideal of model-like figures on women which apparently is a most vile thing to talk about here. It kind of reminds me about all that evolution vs. creationism crap after that one Berardi article on the physical aspects of Neanderthal’s.

Maybe it’s my devilish side to suggest this, but how about an Atomic Dog (soon!) talking about how much men slather over skinny young women and find muscles on women unattractive.

Like what the Honorable Vincent Kennedy McMahon recently said, “Controversy creates cash”.

I am trying to let this whole debacle go, but then I read this…

You worthless bag of shit, did you even read what the women wrote in response to the article? There were valid issues and questions raised. You have lumped all the women together and dismissed them as insecure whiners.

Now you want TC to write an article about how muscle on women is unattractive?? I don’t know how he feels about this and won’t speak for him, but are you aware that he has trained with and expressed admiration for Cory Everson and other women? That his wife is a former bodybuilder? That he runs a site promoting weightlifting, health and fitness with a section for women?

You think it’s clever and devilish to write about how some men slather over skinny young women? Do you think we women do not know this? We do and decide to build our bodies anyway, regardless of what you think. We realize that the health benefits, physical enjoyment and enhanced physiques more than compensate for the derision of a few insecure men.

Take your pitchfork and stick it up your ass.
