Thanks streamline. Part of my purpose for posting here (besides shameless bragging) is to do exactly that. I love this sport and want to spread it around.

I just need a second here to thank you Carl. You have expanded my knowledge and understanding of OL by ten fold. Your use of videos is a great benifit. Thanks again![/quote]
Concur.
Carl, taking the time to check out some threads today. Sorry I don’t get to look at everyone’s training more often than I do, but I’ll be looking in on yours more often. That’s some cool stuff! I love all the videos, and the T&F stuff looks like a lot of fun, and it’s obvious you’re really good at it.
Nice work. DZ
Thanks DZ and geech. Knowing people are looking keeps me inspired.
This week percentages go up to 95% with high volume.
12/1
Snatch: 52.5/2, 63/2, 74/2, 85/1, 90/1, 95/1, (100/1)4
Squats: 100/3, 112.5/3, 127.5/3, (133/2)4
Bench: 70/3, 80/3, 90/3, (95/2)4
Snatch High Pulls: (110/3)4
Pullups: BW/7,6,4
Time: 62 min.
Hard, but not any more than they should have been. Snatches felt quick and well placed.
Weighed myself this morning, came in at 87.2kg. Gained a kilo since last time who knows when, but its at a very comfortable level as far as making weight eventually in April.
Last snatch.
Last set of high pulls.
The snatch video - one word comes to mind…EFFORTLESS!!! AWESOME. Ireally enjoy keeping up with your workouts, both reading & watching the video(s). Thanks for taking the time and effort to share them with us!

Thanks and you’re welcome QT. After the initial struggle to hold position, the snatches kinda felt effortless today.
Forgot to mention, as part of the warm up today, did some 4 step geeches.

“In an effort to be on time for his appointment, he took the stairs a geech at time.”
I’m not sure, but I think a “geech” is 6, at least when referring to jumping stairs. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

So were you doing a half-geech or 2/3rds geech today?
Nice vids! Are high pulls always done with a snatch grip or do you vary the width depending on what you want to work?
2/3rds geech I believe.
Snatch grip pulls on days I snatch, clean grip pulls on days I clean.
Wow,thank you.
Great, lifts, throws, and vids.
And your facility looks nice.
I miss bumpers!!!
I just read your entire thread, beautiful videos, and the weights got big!
I got to play with the O-lifts, in college, and beyond,as a wrestler we lived to power clean
I still do the hang snatch, and hang clean
but cant seriously do them where I train.
no floor or bumpers, make it less fun.
thanks Carl

Thanks. The looks of the facility are deceiving. Its an old run down air force facility. Someday I’ll take pictures of the rest of it. It is well suited for olympic lifts though so in that sense (if that’s how you meant it) its great.
I know a couple masters lifters in NYC. If you are interested, I can try to get you in touch with them.
12/2
Cleans: 62.5/2, 75/2, 87.5/2, 100/1, 110/1, 115/1, (120/1)4
Jerks: 62.5/2, 75/2, 87.5/2, 100/1, 110/1, 115/1, (120/1)4
Front Squats: 95/3, 110/3, 120/3, (128/2)4
Press: 56/3, 64/3, 72/3, (76/1)4
Clean Dead Lifts: (132.5/5)3
Bent Rows: (75/6)3
Time 77 min.
Very hard today. Only the last clean and last jerk were decent. Front squats were a struggle and I only got 1 rep on the presses instead of the 2 I was supposed to do.
Last jerk.
Last clean.

Ah but the run down part is what makes it nice!
I also mean the windows, unless the are drafty, lots of sunlight, and plenty of space and height.
I would appreciate that- thank you.
I know of one good club in Queens Lost battalion hall
But their hours make it hard for me to get to them,
a group with a decent coach and good reputation.
Great Work, and thanks again

Damn, that’s where they train. One of the lifters is in my weight class and age group and is a very good lifter. Unless I am at the top of my game, he will beat me. I will contact them and let them know.
