My gym has just added a TV. Its not very big and only at one end of the gym, but it just plays bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, UFC reels on loop. Always good to watch a massive list of some fkn jacked dude doing presses right before you get under the bar.
Many years ago back in the UK, I used to train in the only old school gym in my town. The place closed due to the owner going broke and then smashing the place up in a roid rage. So me and all the other meat heads had to move to the only other good gym, which was attached to a health spa and squash club. As you can image the type of people who go to this type of place were a little more well to do. I trained with a very noisy Jamaican dude called Herbert. One day we are in the weight area which was next to the cardio area that had all the TVās and he just looks at me and says at the top of his voice (that was his usual speaking level anyway). āFk me man, I am paying 50 pounds a month for TVās and hair driersā. The look on the other members faces was classic.
The dude was just straight up funny without even knowing it. Another of his favorite things to say whilst looking at the other members doing their mindless cardio was āLook at em man, theyāre thinking ABOUT THEIR DINNERā
