Thoughts On Camber Bar Attachements

My current gym location doesn’t have a Safety Squat Bar. My current protocol calls for SBS and I’ve been using the makeshift version using a set of wrist straps as handles. So far it’s working pretty well. The bar rests a little lower on my shoulders/upper back and it seems to be a good substitute. My only concern is the bar isn’t cambered to shift the center of gravity more towards the front like a SSB would. I was on Rogue the other day and stumbled across these

are these a worthwhile addition, or would they not help since the angle between the camber and the strap “handles” wouldn’t be fixed like on a standard SSB.

Id make sure your gym is cool with you marring up their bar before ordering. Not a big deal for your bar, but it’s for sure going to leave marks/gouges on the bar.

Now you have me interested, that’s a new max effort movement right there.

Luckily they are cool with it, as long as it doesn’t do a lot of damage

The strap squat or something using the camber attachments?

I’ve never used that. For what it’s worth, you’re getting close to just buying the bar:

That’s a good point. $100 more and I could just have the bar.

just have to make sure I don’t accidentally leave it at the gym.

Will they put it in a closet or something for you? There’s folks that store their bars at my gym

My gym is a little different than most. It’s a by the hour single person gym. I shouldn’t have a problem just carrying it in with me. Just being stupid.
