The Raw Bench Record is Unsafe

Yeah, going to full lockout on high rep sets is a lot of stress on elbows. If you are doing high reps with frickin 585? Yikes.

come to think about damn this dude must have joints of steal ! its amazing what the human body is able to handle sometimes

Impressive gym lifts, those vids are awesome and inpiring. But it’s time he steps on a platform IMO, what you do in the gym doesn’t count.

It’s not able to handle that, that’s why some people do drugs.

What is the purpose of the fast half-reps at the beginning? I’ve never seen someone do that before.
He has said in previous posts that not locking out while doing reps saves his joints some wear and tear at such heavy weights.

ridiculous

Is this the SinCityIron guy? I saw a video of him doing something similar, albeit with the Titan equivalent of the SlingShot.
Fairly sure it’s the same guy. Here’s his thread a while ago: 600 Bench Press RAW - Powerlifting & Strength Sports - Forums - T Nation

^It is

Fucking inspirational.

Call me a d!ck but I’m reserving my praise for Henderson and Mendelson. Talk of smashing a record is cheap. JMHO.
I agree with this. This guy is one of the strongest benchers in the world and just might eventually set the record if he competes, but I don’t think anyone is going to SMASH the record.

x2
Mendelson states he’s done 650 for 8 reps, if that’s true then sincity has some way to go to reach his level.
